I'm currently putting together the members pack for the Canberra Cavalry... depending on the quality of the cap, the rest is pretty cheap to do.

Re: 2018 Rd 7 V Rabbitohs: Teams and Previews
I'm really interested to see how the Bunnies approach this game. Over the past few weeks, they've abandoned the rigid structures they employed in the early weeks and have looked to offload where possible. If they stick with the former, I can see our defence (provided it maintains the recent form) ho...

Re: 2018 Rd 6 V Eels: Game Day
Like most, I was extremely impressed with our performance on Saturday night. Our goal line defence is keeping me happy and it's amazing how much better our structure looks when we have 2nd rowers who are difficult to get on the outside of. As I'm always one to nit-pick, my only concern remains with...

Sia Soliola - Starting pitcher?
Sia Soliola is throwing the first pitch at the Canberra Cavalry baseball game on Friday night against Adelaide.
He'll pitch at 6.45pm and there will be a few boys out at the game by the sounds of it always a good night!

Re: POLL: 2017 Highs and Lows: Best Win
I'm a little surprised that the Warriors game at home wasn't included. Definitely not the prettiest game to watch, but for me, it was a tough match where we weathered set after set on our own line throughout the match and our goal line defence stood tall. After that match, I geniunely thought we we...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2015
Ricky has publicly come out and said he wouldn't trade Jack Wighton for any other fullback in the game. He's not moving him out of the #1. That's why I find it hard to believe that Johnson is coming since the Eels/Roosters are chasing him hard and offering the fullback position. If we do happen to s...

If the Titans lose Elgey to the Roosters or another Sydney club as rumoured, do not be surprised if they offer Sezer more than we did to sit tight. This is far from being in the bag... No, its done. Titans were not even tabling an offer for Sezer originally. They are letting him walk....and definit...

I'm surprised to read some of the comments surrounding a possible return of King Henry. Let's not forget that he was pretty much told that he was an interim coach while Furner worked up some experience. You cannot be angry at him for taking the secure option for himself and his family (ironic now he...

I'm sorry but if I see one more person say that we turned Bronson Harrison into an international backrower, I'm just going to scream! Harrison played some of his best football towards the end of 2008 and excelled under the tutelage of Wayne Bennett in the Kiwi camp. He was one of their best througho...

We did miss the boat with Maguire... He has had success at every club he has gone to.
For what it's worth, I hear we're still chasing coaches and my mail suggests that we were recently turned down by a coach from the Super League. No idea who but it wasn't an ex-Aussie coach...

Re: Canberra Raiders deny David Furner will stand down
I can't see this press conference being about anything too major. McIntyre's comments earlier today would indicate that the board is holding strong on their stance and this press conference will be a case of clearing the air than anything else. Kind of like when Ricky Ponting called a press conferen...

Re: This is not a Sack Furner thread
Coaching focus this week is on defence. We have an obvious issue on our left side. It will be interesting to see who makes up our left side this week. Imo though, the major contributing factor last week was a 60/40 possession debacle. If a lower half of the competition side (us) comes up against a ...

Re: Latest Stuart rumour
I was disappointed we missed the boat on Maguire... Success has followed him everywhere he goes (Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, UK) and there's little doubt in my mind that he'll take Souths to the finals this year as well. On a side note, I hope the club holds onto Andrew Dunemann in the coaching r...

Re: Ricky's Raider return
What I like about Ricky is his defensive structures. Apart from the Panthers in 2003 and the Tigers in 2005, most, if not all, of the premiership sides have had top notch defence. The Sharks had one of the best defensive lines in 2008 and did a decent job with the Blues last season as well. Watching...

Re: Five Canberra Raiders in NSW Emerging Origin squad
I actually tend to think McCrone's selection was more because they see potential in a McCrone/Campese combination. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but even Phil Gould said that if you were going to pick Campese (who Stuart is a fan of), then they would need to build and structure the side aroun...

Re: Do we ever go in to a season believing we can win it?
Even during our run at the back-end of 2010, I didn't think we were truly in with a shot. I still didn't think we had the capability to match it with teams like Melbourne, Sydney and the Tigers. 2004 was the last time I thought we could win it, following our amazing 2003 season. I yearn for another ...
