Re: TPAs per club “revealed”

800k of the Storm deal is supposedly with Smith and I would think he could earn that without any dodgy dealings. You would think of any player he has a lot of whole of game deals as well. If I recall at its peak TPAs were 15m total on a 6.5m cap. It would be very interesting to see the historical nu...

Re: TPAs per club revealed

If the Roosters are low because of whole of game deals, it would imply that the deals were negotiated as part of signing those players. That would be a big concern for mine.

Re: POLL: Canberra Raiders 2010s Team of the Decade: Centres

BJ has been a bit unlucky not to play more Origin. Seems he was blacklisted after he decided to not show up to that camp a few years back. He is regularly Samoas best player as well. However if you're picking an all time team to beat another teams best then Croker does have the advantage of being ea...

These have been released for this year as well now. BJ and Toots in that order. Fergo had the best individual season but did too much damage when he left.

Re: NRL announces rule changes for scrums, trainers, 20/40 kick, endorses challenge system

I don't mind 20/40 and it won't come up much. Most of the time teams get pinned on their line it's because the opposition is leaving early and is offside anyway. 3 places for the scrum is good. Anything to add some variety in attack is good for mine. Tackled in the air is a sensible decision but it ...

For mine the one player it can't possibly be is Dugan. He did a huge amount of damage to the club and would've cost us dozens of wins indirectly.

Even if you ignore that, I don't think he is an obvious choice given his first year was last decade and it was one of his best.

Well he at least got it right picking Papalii but picking Murray and Wighton out of position is a shocker. Cook is also overrated in the top 5, he had a very average finals series for the second year in a row. Murray is a bit questionable as well.

If he is medically retired and it's claimed to be a way to manage the cash flow for Souths then it's a dodgy.

Pretty standard except Young, but I prefer one backrower on the bench and when he isn't been an idiot I do think he is in our best 17.

5/10 for mine. He was as usual pretty good with the ball and we did get decent results with him early on, but switching him out for the better defender in Sezer helped stabilize our season when it was starting to look rocky.

So it's top 26 with 4 development players to make 30 and they are eligible after June 30 ? Or 30 plus the 4 after June 30 ? I believe the rules are at least 24 at november 1, 29 before kick off, 30 by June 30. Up to 6 development players can be signed any time but only play first grade after June 30.

Every top team at the pointy end of the year has the same tactic. Defend like maniacs for 80. Really if that gets done you will struggle to score more than a token try without a lot of elite players and that's probably where the Storm have a challenge. It's not like it's unique to them though. It wi...
