Just wondering, while at the game, what's the best way to listen to commentary during the match?

Re: 2019 Preliminary Final V Rabbitohs: Game Day

Our attack looks clunky. We scored from a south's error, south's scored from a set play. We've been lucky to stop some of the South's try, we have to stop giving them opportunities else we'll be celebrating mad Monday in a couple of days

Re: Broncos knew they had secured a star in Anthony Milford

Not sure if same article (I don't have DT subscription), but here's one from Fox Sports A pub patron who sat next to Milford as he played the pokies asked him what time he was playing the next day. “I knew the game started at 4pm but Milford turned to me and said: ‘I think it’s at six, eh’. He wasn’...

Re: Hudson Young referred straight to judiciary

To be fair, Finch's "defending" the Storm was pointing out that the Storm's tactics weren't illegal according to the rules at that time. Once the rule changes and it becomes illegal, the Storm stops and finds something else that's not illegal. There is a difference between against the rules and agai...

Re: 2019 Rd 22 V Storm: Game Day

I’m surprised Addo Carr didn’t go to the bin as his actions stopped a likely try, considering Rapana almost scored despite the early hit. The Fox commentary was saying something similar - if that was a grubber kick, that would've a sin bin for tackling a player without the ball to stop a try. But s...

Was at the game and was annoying to see NSW keep going to the right while wighton and abdo car was staring at open space in front of them on the left. One odd thing I noticed (and I don't watch enough live games to know if it's a regular thing in most games), but in attack, especially coming out our...

Not having a crack at Raps but a serious question, why can some player get the nose stupidly taped up and return but he hasn’t? So frustrating - I would have said that was one of our best halves of football in ages and then suddenly that crap comes from nowhere for the last 10 But will we be ok? We'll need a strong second half. Eels would be coming out fired up and full of confidence. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Morris retired from rep footy a couple of years ago and came on board for game 1 due to lack of other options (Fergo had a few shockers leading up to the naming of side for game 1). So I'm not too fussed about Morris being dropped for next generation of players (Fergo is still relatively young isn't...

It's true that any team can win on their day, so us winning the comp isn't impossible. But at the moment, I'd say probability of winning the comp is not entirely with us. People might disagree, but I think to be a true contender you'd need players on the team that either have big game experience or ...

Our 3 straight losses were without Bateman playing. I'd argue that Bateman covering Sammy's defensive weakness is enough for Sammy's better game management to be more of a positive than Sezer's better defensive game.

The old adage "don't weaken a strength to strengthen a weakness" applies here. Whatever alleged benefit Williams might bring in organizing our attack, he is a dead-set catastrophe in defence. And we are winning on defence. Isn't that adage applicable to keeping Sezer in for Williams? We did win 6 o...

An interesting thing he mentioned was about his start at the Raiders. He credited Sticky's game plan for him winning the Dally M 5/8 of the Year. The game plan centred a lot around getting him good ball and getting the most out of his running game. I wonder if the decline of his effectiveness in his...

Re: Williams or Sezer?

My vote has been for Sammy from the start purely because he is more of an organising half than Sezer is. As been pointed out, Sezer is more of a running 5/8th than an organising half. Yes, in the defensive line, Sezer would (usually) be a better defender. But what we need, have needed for a while no...
