Re: 2024 NRL Round 7: Teams and Game Day
People hate the cold, too! Especially those Kingslanders. That they do Dubby, but that is psychological. Training in hot and humid conditions leads to a number of physiological adaptations that give an advantage over opponents that haven't trained in those conditions. I don't deny that! I lived in ...

Re: Canberra Raiders star Josh Papalii hoping contract future sorted soon
Good news. I'd be as shattered if he left for one final big pay day as when Wiki left. He deserves to be our highest capped player. Playing rep footy since 19 y/o, an absolute monster on the edge, then converting to arguably the most consistent prop in the game over the last 5ish years. One of our ...

Kris is a NZ international and deservedly so. He's been shuffled around from centre to FB, then centre, then wing. His season was interrupted with a head knock and then had to sit out the next game v Warriors. He also had to adjust to a new 5/8 and wing partner, as well as playing centre again afte...

That whole left side attack has been almost entirely rebuilt from last season's disaster of Cotric-Croker-Young-Wighton. Kris is largely doing his job well and I'm sure will shine after a few kinks are ironed out in their positioning. The defence already looks infinitely better than last season. Se...

Good perspective, Cat. I think it speak volumes of our leaders like Tapine and Papa who have both been great this year. Rapana has also been good. I've been encouraged by the improvement in Saulo, also. Levi looks to be gaining confidence and to his credit he's been solid without being spectacular. ...

Annersly was an ordinary Ref in his time. Off memory he never officiated a GF. Was always behind Harrigan and McCallum.
Be like having Jared Maxwell in the job, except he didn't work for the Titans..
If PVL is serious about the game, he needs the stones to make big decisions about rule enforcement

Schiller admits himself he is adapting to life on the wing, as he usually plays centre in NSW Cup. Hopefully, video review and training sessions will help him develop the defensive mindset required to defend on the wing. His speed is a huge advantage when compared with Hoppa and Cotric, but if he i...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
The problem with games that end in golden point is that the decisions in the last minutes of the game are overly scrutinised compared to every other decision in the game . The Titans gave away 3 set restarts in quick succession and easily could have had a player in the bin but that didn't happen. I...

Further, Klein was dropped during the finals last year after a shocker, in the Storm Roosters match. Ziggy Przeklasa-Adamski was dropped after round 3. Todd Smith and Gerard Sutton were dropped in round 11 last year. Todd Smith was dropped for round 6, despite NRL not saying it was performance relat...

I don't think I've ever noticed as much criticism of a referee as she is copping, and **** me Klein, Sutton/s, Cummins over the years and Gough have been deplorable on many occasions. Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
The NRL has created this problem. When they decided to allow players to throw forward passes from the ruck, roll the ball one-handed in to the scrum, stand off side in every set, allow blockers for kickers (Cleary) and not have the chutzpah to stand up and ignore idiots like Buzz Rothfield who whing...

Think we're gonna start to feel the absences of experienced professionals like Hosking and Rapana soon tbh with tough games coming up. Reckon we're going to miss them a lot. I don't think Hosking is "experienced", off memory he has played about 30 games. We will miss him and Rapa though.

I like Badger, but she was far from blameless in that game. Missed the shoulder to Hosking's head, which ended up with Jolliffe on report. Timoko (from memory) with a perfectly good offload that was called back for him to play the ball, and the ruck was out of control in the second half. We earned ...

That's likely the best the Titans will play all season. Sent from my CPH2021 using Tapatalk They were good tonight. They got away with a lot in the ruck, but man... they really stood up.
