Hopefully Horse is back then, otherwise it's probably Hola? Maybe (and preferably) Puru?
I reckon Saulo is going to be out a little while. Back spasms can be hard to manage.
A Horse return though would be timely. We're starting to thin out big time in the forward pack.

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Game Day
If Weekes keeps performing well, I'd like to see perhaps him slot into FB when Fog returns. Nothing against Jordy, he does this but feel like we know our ceiling with him there.
This could at least be an option till Chev is ready. And of course Weekes still has to keep performing.

We just so consistently undo our good work through utterly stupid plays.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Now we're gonna be without our two best props next week.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
Can we just sign a second rower and a hooker and be done with it? We should be looking at Crichton, zac will be good when he's fit again Agreed on the Crichton point. I think if we could get a hold of any of those Roosters second rowers it'll add to our stocks well and complement Young and Hosking ...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
He’s had an unhappy season so far but if Siua Wong is available given the Fifita signing, he’d be someone I’d be interested in 100% He looked good last season I thought. Fully fit and firing you'd have to be relatively content with: 11. Young 12. Hosking 15. Wong 16. Mariota Yeah, I’d be down for t...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
With Fifita joining the Rorters surely they have to part with one of their 87 second rowers?
A fair bit of quality there which would complement Hosking and Young quite well you'd think.

Re: 2024 Round 11 v Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
Bulldogs are gonna be a big test next week. Our crash balls aren't going to trouble them too much I have to say. Their defence is pretty impressive. Will need to be able to get some rolls on mid field and hope this can free up Timoko, Kris, Savage, Strange and Weekes to do some damage. Rapana back w...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
I've watched Chan Kum Tong a few times in the lower grades now and I don't think he fixes the problem. Surely there is a pommy hooker that's going well enough to justify bringing them over. Fair call. Was mainly basing that judgement on some of the wraps he had. Something needs to change there. We ...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
We're just going to have to look for decent hooker for 2025, stuck with what we have there, and Ricky keeps picking our worst combo. Would 700k land Crichton ? Does the squad need a player like him ? If Woolford isn't getting a look in over Levi then I'd like to see the both of them released. I don...

There's not much sense in having Woolf in the extended squad. Either there is a smokescreen or, and way more likely, Ricky is trying to send a message to the other two ploders as Bot said.
This call should have been made a couple weeks ago but no doubt we're building up to it.

I've also never heard of a player "not wanting" to play fullback in the modern era. Hey maybe it is Savage's prerogative and he asked for it, if so then that's just weak I'm sorry. If it's Stuart then it's poor coaching. Either way it's a bit demoralising Also Chevy played two games, not ...

We're at that point of bad Ricky years where he starts to dig his heels in and make those mind boggling decisions. Reminds me of 2021 when the wheels starting coming around Tapine missus gate and Hodgo's captaincy resignation. 1) Hoppa at FB. I understand you have to manage the workload of an 18 yea...

I hope Mooney isn't dropped. Feel like he was one of very few having a crack.
Would like to see Puru given a go. As a 14 where he alternates in spelling Woolford and Smithies.
Cotric -> Schiller
Whitehead-> Sasagi
Woolford -> Levi
Puru -> Starling

We had 31 tackles into their 20 as opposed to their 12 in ours.
We lost 40-0. Is that one of the most awful stats ever?

If Schiller was staying around for the future I'd be more than willing to give him a bit more lead way and patience however his errors are not justifying us keeping him in the team short term. Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
The recruitment has been appalling ever since George Williams has left and it is starting to show. You shouldn’t ever be in the position that you have no back up halfback, a 18 year old fullback who is clearly not ready, a shortage of second rowers to such a degree that you can’t drop a seriously o...

We could have the game played solely in the Sharks 20 metres for 80 minutes and we'd lose this.
Utterly awful attack and even worse goal line defence.
We can blame our absentees all we want but we have utterly no structure anywhere.

I don't think there is a game I would be less confident in getting a result than Manly at Brookie atm. Especially on a 5 day turnaround
