Re: Jarrod Croker to miss start of 2021 season after shoulder surgery

I’m stunned I have to make this warning... but there have been some posts that have crossed the line. I’m not going to have them on the site. Well I did find this topic informative but not that juicy. But now you've piqued my interest! 😂 Some posters appeared to be almost happy about one of our own...

Re: Jarrod Croker to miss start of 2021 season after shoulder surgery

Courageous.. hat off to him.

I hope we play a natural centre round 1 and back whoever we play there. No point having a "fill in", we need to have a longer term view on this position and its the perfect time to get this process started.

Re: 2020 NRL Grand Final: Teams and Game Day

I think the coaching (Nadan) decision should perhaps be parked.. you can argue that this coach made the club who they are today. Hat off to them for their achievements. Perhaps, a learning from it could be that while defense is always going to be critical the faster game today should put more consid...

Re: Is Canberra Raiders' premiership window closing?

While i was watching the gf last night, the sentiment of our backs being less athletic started to become more apparent to me. I was perhaps a little ignorant to that before. Whatever is decided by our coaching staff, we MUST improve our attack next season. Williams will have his first season done an...

Re: 2020 NRL Grand Final: Teams and Game Day

I also think the Panthers were cocky... they were manufacturing humbleness which i felt wasnt genuine. Next season will be telling for them. I really question if we could have beaten Panthers in the this year. With the same gf side as last year i would have been more confident. I think both roosters...

Re: 2020 Finals Week 3 V Storm: Game Day

While it is disappointing we should remember ehat happened was realistic. The travel would have killed the players. Cant play footy by travelling in and out on the same day. We had injuries too. And we were outplayed by a fresh side. I wouldnt overthink this. Back to drawing board for 2021. The Sto...

Re: 2020 Finals Week 3 V Storm: Game Day

Ultimately we played 5 minutes of complete trash which conceded 18 points. Other than that, the score was 10-12 and we butchered quite a few scoring opportunities and were denied a couple more. All things considered, we were outplayed when it mattered, but we were far from disgraced during the majo...

Guys, we lost against a better team given the circumstances.
Tactical outplayed big time and we didnt start playing until the second half.

Better team won. Good luck to Storm for next week.

Re: Jordan Rapana set to sign new two year Canberra Raiders deal

I think he is being unfairly judged. Rapana is a genuine footballer and I believe he has 2 years left in him to contribute in a meaningful way. During the next 2 years I am sure he will revert to reserve, and that is an important role, especially with the speed of the game. Beyond that is a stretch....

Re: 2020 Finals Week 2 V Roosters: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*

Sharks forwards were all over ours in the first half... Papalii was dominated. We cant afford for that to happen this week. If we both play to our potential (given the circumstances, I think Roosters potential is far from their optimum at this stage of the comp) we win. I've watched it back and Sia...

Re: Our new style

Our D is good enough to win the premiership , problem is out attack isn't. If you look at the tries Panthers scored against the Roosters, all of them were just great attack. Line breaks, good kicks and general support play. Lots behind these 3 dimensions. The tries we scored against the Sharks simpl...

Raiders v sharkes wasnt as physical or emotional as panthers v roosters. We got that advantage coming into game for sure.

Let's move forward with the same boys. Papalii needs to play like he did the second half last night. His first half was rubbish.

Re: 2020 Finals Week 1 V Sharks: Game Day

I am pretty sure they had a strategy around slowing the game down by players needing medical attention. None of them ended uo needing to leave the field. No way to prove it though. Their forwards outplayed ours in the first half. We must be better next week against Roosters otherwise we will get sma...

Re: Is Ricky Stuart's Raiders rebuild complete?

I think the key thing that's been overlooked in this thread is the emergence of the youngsters. Guler, Young and Hors in the pack, along with Cotric, Timoko, Valemi and Smith-Shields (supplemented by Simonsson and Starling) shows the club knows how to get young players onto the park. Saturday's gam...

If panthers lose, which i think they will.. it will damage their confidence. That can also put in a lot of self doubt.

To date they only travelled outside sydney 4 times. They also had an easy draw. Granted they can only play whats in front of them.

Has has def. rebuilt the club from a standards and cultural point of view. We went from an inexperienced coach who frankly had the talent but simply didn't know how to nature it. Very smart move by Stuart.

Not sure what you are on about. A top 4 finish means we need 3 straight wins only, and have a shot at a home prelim final. I'd take it every day of the week over finishing 5-8th. If you think we can beat Penrith in 2 weeks time then you are correct. As I said, I believe majority of league enthusias...

Re: 2020 Rd 20 V Sharks: Teams and Previews

To win the comp means 4 straight wins in the finals. My opinion is we shouldn't care too much about the position on the ladder. Can we beat the Panthers in 2 weeks time? I don't know but I think majority of people would lean to a "no".. Can we beat Sharks twice without too much effort? I w...

The guy got pissed and was sleeping under a tree. Not disturbing anyone at that point in time. Not role model type stuff.

Not sure why Hudson kept getting wrapped today by the commentators. Thought he was fairly quiet for most of the game. Numbers show 8 runs for 79 metres from 74 minutes, which isn't a great return from a middle. He looks a lot like Sutton from afar, they may have been conflating the two. I can only ...

3 years ago we lose this game. Stuart has done a good job turning around the club. Difficult to make too much out of the game ... really difficult game for us. Come finals time I reckon other teams will look on the Raiders as a team they can beat but would prefer not to play them. We are too unpredictable but a good defensive side. Honestly our attack is at 50%, we are probably ~7th in the league in attack. I would rank us below Souths, Eels and Knights. ...
