Re: Should one of the next Immortals be a Raider?
The Immortal concept is a BS thing anyway. It was started by the Rugby League Week magazine many years ago and was purchased by the NRL when the magazine folded. Should be just a hall of fame for elite players and that's it. Don't get me started on the Dally M awards. When the cigarette company Roth...

The selection for wing to replace Kris should be Schiller or Savage but we all know it will be Hops

Their used to be an elegibilaty rule for selection in reserve grade finals based on how many games you played there over the course of the season or so many games in the last so many weeks.
Just thinking Croker could have his send off in the finals there if he is eligible

Re: 2023 Rd 27 v Sharks: Game Day
Haven't been through a lot of the posts, so not sure if this has been mentioned. Ricky in the pre game mentioned that Jack is a world class centre and has only been playing 6 because of a need for the team So they were going to pay him another 4 years at 1.1 million a year to play that roll again? A...

Cotric at fullback stats would be 500 metres run, 5 metres gained.

Re: 2023 Rd 17 v Roosters: Game Day
There is only one solution to straightening our attack. Citric to number 6. But seriously is Cotric in the 17 just because he is on 600k? If you are going to have a back on the bench then surely it would be Savage. He can perhaps make something happen if needed. Don't need someone to come on and mak...

Would hope that Croker takes the higher road like Alan Tounge who retired with a years contract up his sleeve.
Hard to turn your back on good money, but what sort of legacy does he want to leave on his career?

Has anyone been watching Jarrod Croker's form in the Reggie's?
HSS has been pretty ordinary especially defensively.
Any hope for a Croker return?

Re: 2023 Rd 3 v Sharks: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I think Kris is a really good centre and potentially a good backrower, but he is NOT a fullback. Being able to catch the ball and not drop it on return doesn't justify selection. I noticed in week 1 that he can't react to a short kick into the in goal. Gets to the area, stops and tries to bend down ...

Hate Olympic stadium to watch footy and the price.
Ummed and aahed about going but thought what the hell, I was 34 for last raiders gf , 59 now.
On current strike rate I would have to live till 84 for next one.
In bay 138, close enough to our supporters.
Lets go Raiders!!

With BJ out for the season, I hope the Ricky is considering moving Cotric to right centre to see how he goes. He's clearly a right sided player- you can tell by the way he fends and carries the ball that he prefers to hold the ball in his right hand. Have Oldy on the right wing outside him so he ha...

Re: Canberra Raiders linked to Sydney Roosters Ryan Matterson
I dont know if public salaries work for rugby league. Certainly the information should be transparent for the NRL and clubs, but for the public im not sure causes a bit to much angst if a player is underperforming, I dont think it helps having the public heaping **** on them. If you are underperfor...

Saw an article that Luke Gale an English international halfback from Castleford wants to play NRL. Anyone know anything about him?. 30 years old but might be worth a punt for 2 seasons if he is prepared to come cheaply.

Agree, feel your pain as well. We got lucky in that Mal, Badge, Walters bro's, Jacko, Coyne etc came before the Broncos started. Combine that with emerging juniors Clyde, Daley, Lazarus,Stuart etc, meant a golden era. Lost some but most stayed and took pay cuts to keep a successful team together. Ca...

All sides have good luck and bad luck through a season. Fact is it mostly balances out and if you are good enough you get top 8 or top 4. Most of the Raiders bad luck (losses) have been through their own game management. Fact is we are a 9,10 team that could be better. Don't see things getting much ...

Have finally worked out how to follow the Raiders and deal with the results.Had $50 on the Raiders at $2.30 with sportsbet, leading by 12, they pay out. Beautiful, up $65, rang at half time and had $50 on the Broncos to win at $4.50.Thanks guy's, a profit of $230. It helps to know your teams limitat...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
They may have told him that, but Maloney looks to have at least another year after this left in the tank, maybe 2. May is 22 years old now. So if May is willing to wait until potentially 2021 to get paid, and until he's potentially 24-25 before having a place in FG, well that's his choice... but if...

Might as well get the suspension over with now. The season was gone with the 0-4 start anyway. A good time to check out Abbey and Cotric at fullback. Then consider Whiton at 6 based on 20 minutes in the 1 trial game next year

I grew up as a St George supporter in the 60's , played some junior reps with them but became a bit sour with them because of the people and politics involved.
