Re: Wests Tigers 2025
Luai a lesser player than Galvin  Time will tell. I know who I’d sign of the 2. Galvin is not going to have a better career than Luai. Not many players have. Four comps in a row, SOO wins, WC finals. Galvin hasn’t done anything yet apart from remind you of a young Scott Hill (who also never wo...

Re: 2025 Round 7 v Titans: Teams and Previews *Teams p1
I know Hosking covers the edge but I don’t like 3 middles on the bench. I also don’t like one of these 3 second rowers being injury cover. I would be almost mortified if we don’t try and continue with Hosking as a lock. If a half gets injured what happens? Young to half or a complete shift of the b...

Re: Wests Tigers 2025
He’s made clear to all and sundry that he doesn’t trust the club and coach with his development. This isn’t the first time. I suspect it’s a poor cover story, and very tough on the club. The motivation with this manager is always “show me the money”. I suspect Galvin’s been very poorly advised by s...

Re: Wests Tigers 2025
I’m backing the Tigers. The player manager concerned pulled the same rubbish on the Raiders with Anthony Milford. I don’t know how players sign up with people like that. I find it hard to understand how the NRL allowed him to be re-registered. I feel for the Tigers because they’re just starting to ...

Re: Wests Tigers 2025
Now the dust has settled a bit I actually back Galvin in all of this. - He’s backing himself. He could do an ACL next week and cost himself millions. - Despite the moves the club has made he doesn’t believe the Marshall and Luai team is a good thing and that it’s not the place for him to develop. - ...

Re: 2025 Round 7 v Titans: Teams and Previews
I definitely think Simi is the weakest player in the 17 currently but i do take the point others have made that replacing him for Hosking would leave us very heavy and lacking in genuine versatility In an age with HIAs and sin bins being very frequent, that is very risky. I think Hosking can cover ...

Re: Wests Tigers 2025
He’s the best young creative five-eighth I’ve seen…. probably since Carney. He’s built and moves like a young prime Scott Hill. Sucks for Wests. And that press release was really odd. A few hours post originally reading it it must have just been Richardson’s play/jab at Moses’ management team. NRL w...

Re: 2025 Round 7 v Titans: Teams and Previews
I've been impressed with Smithies this year but just want to double check that no one considers him in the same league as Hosking, right? Does durability comes into it? Because they’ve been at the club for the same amount of time and Smithies has played almost 3 times as many games as Hosking has.

Re: 2025 Round 7 v Titans: Teams and Previews
Repeating what I said earlier in the week but Hosking has to replace a middle, not Sasagi, IMO. You can’t play a bloke in the middle and also expect him to be the back injury cover. You also don’t need 3 middles on the bench when you’ve got Hosking, Hors, Smithies and Tapine who can play big minutes...

I’ll just say this really is the game where we should unleash Owen Pattie.
Five minutes into the second half for mine.
Those 2 free interchanges should make it viable.

Re: 2025 Round 6 v Eels: Game Day
This is a very odd team to support. Deplorable structured attack. The block plays to end up with a 2 on 3 or 4 is beyond hideous. But there’s enough really good attacking players that in unstructured attack they’re really good. It’s great to watch when we’re winning but gee whiz what I’d give for a ...

Re: Raiders reportedly interested in Knights player Kai Pearce-Paul
Sisagi I think could have a very high ceiling. From what we’ve seen this year he’s eradicated his poor defence and errors albeit it’s been very limited minutes. He will get a start at second row at some stage this season. With KPP, he popped onto the scene and thought he could be a very good player...

It’s pretty good business from Manly because we’ve made it pretty obvious we’re not really interested in him past next season at this point.

A day after the Simmons, Clifford, Fonua, Taulapapa and Pomeroy chat we’re going to be up against Bailey Simonsson now.

This game will be a big test to see where we are at. It will be interesting to see how we deal with favourtism, finally after 6 rounds. The punters / bookies have been so off this year, and I feel they kinda got this one wrong too... it really does feel like a $1.75 raiders vs $2.15 eels instead of...

As a cricket tragic it is sad. He was a great opening bat and just what Australia needed. He’ll always have his baggy green.
I just hope he comes good and is able to lead a healthy and normal life. What the concussions did to him was horrible. I hope he never suffers another.

Re: Raiders reportedly interested in Knights player Kai Pearce-Paul
Agree Gerg With such a youthful squad, I’d be looking for a professional journeyman winger who’s happy to play NSW Cup, but can easily fill in at NRL level when required. Get me a Michael Oldfield , stat! Having a player like Oldy would be so beneficial right now The exact sort of veteran depth pla...

Re: 2025 Round 6 v Eels: Teams and Previews
On the Hosking discussion: he has to replace a prop and not Sasagi imo. We can’t expect Hosking to play as a middle forward and also be the outside back injury cover. In fact given his extensive leg injury history I think he’s just about finished in that cover role full stop. Having more than 5 midd...

Re: Raiders reportedly interested in Knights back Kai Pearce-Paul
He's not very good based on what i've seen Looks like he should be a good player, plenty of physical tools but he's struggled to make impact in games. Young is streets ahead. Nicholson is already better. Hosking is better. And he's not good enough to block Noah Martin's path imo. It'd be a pass fro...

Re: Raiders signing speculation 2025
Have Manly really been that good in that period? They went bloody close in 2013 but for a horrific forward pass in that grand final. They had a big turnover after that with players like Watmough, Stewarts, Lyon, Kite, Matai, Foran all gone within a couple of years. They had a nice transition to the ...

Re: Sea Eagles targeting Jamal Fogarty
All of this nonsense is summed up by a pretty easy question.
When was the last time he put on a play (outside of a kick) that resulted in a try or even a linebreak?
And don’t say the Nicholson tries where he was running over the top of Gosiewski.
