Re: 2024 NRL Round 8: Teams and Game Day
This game has shown exact why you don’t sign from the big teams. In one half Alamoti (Dogs reject) plays better than Turuva has in his career.

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025
You honestly couldn’t have expected a better debut from Sanders. I didn’t think he’d handle it like he did. I think it has underlined how a good half will always struggle in a poor team no matter the level of footy. Their NSW Cup team stinks and as soon as he was flung into a good team his talent sh...

Love their solution to the fact Gutho is busted is to move him to the front line with more contact Let alone the fact that the other times he's played 6 he's been absolutely terrible. Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Teams and Previews
Hoppa was poor in NSW cup. Cotric was even poorer and Asomua had a shocker. So if Ricky is consistent on cup performances mattering none of them should be getting selected. I think Soulsy is right. Based upon what I've observed in cup, we don't have anyone on the same talent level to replace Schill...

I don’t even care about the Chevy and Strange mistakes. If it was possible I’d make the other outside backs walk back to Canberra. Their kick chase has been lazy and non existent. Disgusting attitude. I’m not going to jump on an 18 year old but Christ that’s a bad take. There’s 3+ tries down to the...

Something else to add. There was a comment or 2 in here about Kris not looking himself. I think that’s a bit off. Strange has been great this year but creating space or ball playing to his center is almost not a part of his game at all atm. Without that play from the inside there is very little a ce...

Except they picked Blaize, who is the same age and had even less NSW cup games. He hasn’t even played in the halves. Now they pick Asi, who has no kicking game to speak of and has been pretty meh in his first grade games. He has been worse in NSW cup in the games I’ve watched this year as well. San...

Fogarty really needed that field goal. His last kick in normal time and golden point before that were absolutely disgraceful. Not happy if Strange is out. Weekes straight swap though. Fingers crossed it’s something minor if it’s even true. And I’d rather players of that age miss games than play through injuries at this point.

I can’t argue against Smith. He’s probably the best rugby league player I’ve ever seen. But comments like Johns not being top 3 of the last 30 years is just crazy talk. I won’t accept that’s it’s anything other than parochialism and him being the ultimate divisive character that’s landed a post foot...

Re: Parramatta Eels still hoping to hold onto Raiders target Ethan Sanders
I don’t think a 19 year old halfback with 4 games of senior football is the best option very often. Virtually no young halfbacks have had any immediate success in a very long time.
They should have picked Asi 2 weeks ago.

I thought this was crazy.
But thinking about it. He’d purely be the manager (like he was for Qld). Hornby would coach rugby league and Meninga would sort the players out man to man.

I reckon all this media talk has to be drummed up by Sanders’ management. I think Parramatta made a mistake picking Talagi but I’d have picked Asi over Sanders as well. I hope we sign him. But he definitely looks like he needs a season or 2 of Cup before he’s a first grader. Most halfbacks do.

Like a speed bump Lockyer. Coming is as the second man as someone’s already hit schiffa a small man and made him stumble. Still gets trampled. It really is the perfect opportunity to give Stewart a debut.
Therefore I expect to see Rapana rested and Hopoate at 1 at 4pm tomorrow.
And I’ll add that I think it would be once again unfair on Seb Kris to shift him away from centre when there are other better options at 1.
