Knew the Whitehead thing was happening but I’m disappointed that Mariota drops out. He’s our best young prop imo. And what he did at second row as cover on the weekend speaks volumes about his adaptability as a player.
That’s what I’m annoyed at. He needs to be treated better, as does Mooney.

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
Agreed on Whitehead. Would be extremely disappointed if Ata dropped out for Horse over Guler or Saulo. He played right edge due to the reshuffles and still clocked over 100+ metres when he only came on in the second half. Much more than the other 2 (who played longer minutes). With Taps, Paps and H...

Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
Saulo still isn't bending the line, he revs up but just doesn't seem to be able to handle the initial contact like our other forwards. I would argue that his play the balls are quicker than any other forward that always provides for the next play. Because he takes the easiest hit ups of the set. It...

Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
We are going alright when the hot argument is over a 20 minute bench role. Guler had 48 minutes today according to NRL.com That was more than any other front rower other than Tapine. So it's not actually a small role he plays. And as per above, if there is a person on this site who has defended and...

2. Rapana
1. Strange
Honorable mention to Timoko: his post contact metres and Seb Kris who was fantastic and tracking for points as well.

Just dumb
These rules simply disadvantage the team that doesn’t deserve it.
Gives the team who’s just conceded points or a goal line drop out an advantage.

I’m been quite negative about most of our recruitment. But in terms of depth I reckon identifying Sasagi as a depth second rower and calling back Cook as a reserve 7 are both really good calls from the club.

I’m nowhere near as confident as everyone on here.
The Tigers have a pretty good pack and bench forward rotation. They have far and away the best spine player in the game. Korisau could genuinely be the difference in a game like this.

Souths have plenty of issues. All of their depth outside backs are horrible players. Illias is imo the worst halfback in the competition. They need to give Hawkins an extended run. They have a weak front row rotation bar Tatola. Even when Munro comes back that probably leaves them too short in yarda...

Hoppa v Cotric is like a modern day iteration of the famous Buttriss v Waddell debates. Everyone picks a side and passionately argues the case as to who is less average. You could probably argue until you’re blue in the face who has the higher ceiling but it is a bit worrying for Nic that even team...

I don’t rate him as highly as others but there could be an opportunity to snake Latu Fainu and have an each way bet on the 2 NSW under 20s halves from last season I reckon. Just on Hoppa, I wonder what the forum’s thoughts would be if someone else came into the team and got 166m, 1 try assist,1 line break assist and 2 offloads from centre and whether we wouldn’t be a touch more positive in our reviews of his performance. Most astute viewers won’t let 1 game sway their...

Savage’s finish for his try last week showed you why he has to be in the side. Every single week. Whatever the petty reasons were that saw him excluded for last year cannot counter that pure speed and attacking instinct utilised to convert a half chance. In a side that barely creates clear-cut atta...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024
Why would Parramatta spend up on Sanders when they have Brown and Moses locked in?
It will **** their cap. But more importantly (not their problem though) it **** the competition to do that.
If Sanders has any ambition he knows there’s no genuine role for him at Parramatta for at least 3 seasons.

The bulldogs still suck after buying half a dozen useless utility players. What a surprise. It's a recurring theme. Every year they get talked up because of their recruits. As soon as the comp starts reality kicks in once more. Ditching Sexton for Hutchison and signing Crichton on huge money and pl...

Watching Brimson play center and Lomax wing in this game does my head in.
Brimson has played at Origin standard as a fullback. I understand the center gamble but if Foran is out you have to move him to 6 surely.

I actually reckon Levi has been close to the best player in green on the park.
No surprises to anyone though the team is an absolute rabble. And it had little to do with the players there is just no structure or coaching whatsoever.
Ricky Stuart was a great of the game. But he’s no coach.
