Re: Wighton, Papalii selected for Origin II

I’m not jumping behind him as a massive fan. I’m not even really disagreeing with those 2 posts. And it’s a bit of a weird one for me to pick out because I generally subscribe to stats representing props fairly well (but for those who skip the early set hit ups) and Saifiti is no monster on paper. Re: Wighton, Papalii selected for Origin II

I’m still bemused by the reaction to Saifiti’s selection on here. I can’t pinpoint why a group of Canberra fans picked him out as a pretty ordinary player. No one ever labeled him as top tier and it took 4 prop injuries (on top of blokes jumping ship) for him to get a look in for NSW. I’ve been impr...

That video looks pretty damning and yet i bet in any given game, even last night for NSW, you could compile a video similarly of other outside backs. Especially the first 5. I see that **** 100 times a weekend from players... and of course ill get the "this is SOO! There is no room for that!!!" Bul...

This article and video shows pretty clearly why Mitchell wasn't selected again. With it's title I thought it was going to be garbage but it honestly is a good look at his efforts in game I. They highlight his total lack of giving a **** which cost NSW big each time. Still got paid though ;) https:/...

Why is the penalty try thing a negative against Wighton in so many articles? If he lets Chambers through it’s a try anyway.

Really weird that we had people in here finding it odd that Graham went into the halves. There wasn’t a back up back in the team of course that was what should have happened.

With some of these poms mentioned of late the best young half I’ve seen for a while from over there is Jordan Abdull. We don’t need him as he’s a genuine five-eighth. He’s not highly rated either but I reckon he’d make a good fist of being a supporting half in the NRL.
Another motm yesterday.

Re: Canberra Raiders forward Ryan Sutton should be called up to Great Britain squad

Hall scored 230 tries. 40 more than Slater in the same amount of games which sounds about right given he’s a winger and Slater a fullback. The thing is Sutton isn’t outperforming or even on par with the blokes the poms are talking about. He’s climbing the ladder but the poms won’t forget he was not ...

I’m with the poms on this one. Being pretty good in the NRL doesn’t all of a sudden jump him over better players.

Factor in strike rate, economy rate and bowler type and that’s top tier modern day all rounders if that record continues for longer.

Who remembers the good ole days when 200/220 was a competitive total in ODIs ?

Tubby Taylor blocking the first 15 overs for a handy 10 runs while Slater knocked the cover off it !!
Slater never hit the cover off the ball in one dayers.

Ricky SHOULDN'T replace Havili with Starling either. In a perfect game, if Starling plays he sits on the bench for 80min and Hodgson plays the whole thing, but if Havili is there he still gets minutes up the middle, and they're quality minutes too.

If Cotric is out I would be moving Whitehead to centre and bringing in Murchie to the bench. Tapine to 11 and Sutton to 13. At this stage, I like Starling over Havilii for the utility. He is fast and adds a little more zip which gives the team attacking options in the last 20 minutes of the game. S...
