Re: The road to the 2024 NRLW season

Quite a few important Kiwis in our team like Temara and Nicholls, would be a shame if they went back home.

Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?

Brad Schneider named halfback for the Panthers with Cleary out for a while.

Be really interesting to see how he goes in a dominant team. I hope he does well.

Re: 2024 Rd 4 v Sharks: Teams and Previews

How tf does Horsburgh not come back into the side? Wild Agree. Maybe there’s more than meets the eye there. He’s one of the first names on the team sheet when fit and in the staff’s good books, surely He's admitted that he trained poorly in the off-season knowing he was going to miss the first few ...

Well, that's good.

Add Mooney or Horse for Saulo would have been better.

But I'll take that.

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews

IF EW is back and Kris is out, I reckon Sticky will go with the below for 1 week, to avoid a hard decision re. Hosking starting for 1 more week. 1. Jordan Rapana 2. Albert Hopoate 3. Matt Timoko 4. Zac Hosking 5. Xavier Savage 6. Ethan Strange 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Josh Papalii 9. Danny Levi 10. Joe T...

Promising signs from that Ricky quote, he said it was between Hoppa and Cotric about who would miss out when Kris came back.

No mention about Savage missing out at all - indicating Xavier is first choice winger.

Good news.

Their forward pack is actually pretty good, he's picked 3 big boppa's on the bench to counter us I reckon.

But our backs will destroy them (Bula very good though).

Well at least he didn't drop Savage.

Hoppa did run a gazillion times last week and setup 2 tries so it would've been hard to drop him.

Can't be too upset with it.

A real team win.

1 - Fog (His kicking game strangled them)
1 - Levi (Credit where credit is due, his service was very crisp)
1 - Hosking
1 - Papa
1 - Smithies
1 - Hoppa

I dont want to be negative nancy after that win but we need to be prepared that Savage will be dropped for Hoppa.

I don't think after setting up the last two tries and running a gazillion times that Hoppa will be dropped.

Guler, Saulo and Hoppa have no business in an NRL top 17. They are bog average with the ball in hand and they stink defensively. Saulo stinks defensively? You really can't complain with that team. Chevy will get his chance, Rapa is by all reports super fit and ready to go. Savage in. Strange deservedly wins the jersey over Weekes, Stuart could have easily used the Chevy excuse and picked Weekes, but he didn't. Levi starting hooker, yes I know, but the...

A mixture of my preferred team with what I think Stuart will pick: 1. Rapana (Chevy is the future but I don't think he's quite ready, he will be eased in during the year) 2. Cotric 3. Schiller 4. Timoko 5. Savage (Could be Hoppa though...) 6. Strange 7. Fogarty 8. Papa 9. Levi (I know ... but if we ...

Geez I don't really know how to feel about that. I'm happy for him but with that inside his body is it really worth the risk? Personal decision I guess.
