Re: Chevy Stewart and Noah Martin named in NSW Under 19s Men's Origin team

I guess Galvin is injured or not eligible. I kind of expected Chevy wouldnt be considered since he has played NRL as well. Well done to he and Martin. I kind of expected to see a few more Raiders given the lower grade performances but I guess a lot of the Flegg guys like Clydesdale are too old. I'd...

Re: Junior Blues back Savelio Tamale agrees to two year deal to join Raiders

A bit confused as to why he'd be leaving the Dragons. They have reportedly been interested in Manu and Sualli and also lost Lomax. Flanagan can coach. Not sure what we're offering - 2 international centres on the books here under 25. I'd be shocked if he isn't in our round 1 side and on good money ...

Re: Junior Blues back Savelio Tamale agrees to two year deal to join Raiders

I like that we criticise Fifita for cruising at the Titans and then we also criticise a young player at an underperforming club for being happy to compete for a spot in the 13 at a stronger club. Yes, that sentence was too long. I'm not criticising him RK. Just looking at the situation as it is. Th...

Re: Raiders finalising two year deal for Junior Blues back Savelio Tamale

Only caught the last 50 minutes but Tamale killed it in the NSW Cup battle of future Raiders tonight. Super impressive with the ball, he made a couple of huge runs beating about half the Eels side that would get any Raiders fan excited (2nd one is 65th minute if you have NSWRLTV). Sanders was a bit...

I believe we now have enough promising talent on the roster to be able to view any potential starting player through the lens of “can this guy contribute to a premiership?”. Fogarty's a hard no for me. A true game manager who is functional if we had such a dominant pack that we consistently get out...

Weekes looks more promising than Chevy at this point. He's got a few years on him, which is huge but I can't ignore what Kaeo has done and Chevy's lack of performance when he came in. Chevy played OK in his first game, it was promising but it was never anything special. Kaeo on the other hand has h...

David Armstrong. 23 years old with less than a handful of games to his name. I'm surprised he's on the Rooster's radar. Didn't do himself any favours tonight. Sent from my CPH2021 using Tapatalk I thought it was premature too. He's looked good but mostly finishing and support play rather than creat...

Amen. Ginnane’s ascension is an oddity to me. Voss, Smith and even Russell trump him easily for mine. He’s an absolute tosser as well. I watch the “Get em Onside” show. It doesn’t matter who we play, when it comes time to discuss our game he will start with something along the lines of “what a blud...

Love the balance of the NSW side. Only one that shocked me was Api missing out. I looked at some statistics around Api vs Robson and Robson clearly provides a lot - particularly in defence. His tackle efficiency and tackle count were much higher. The back 5 for NSW indicate the importance of yardage...

I think his form this year has been pretty poor. Manu absolutely gave him a bath yesterday. I am not blaming him for the loss, but he has been very average this year, so far in my opinion. Thoughts? That is such a predictable comment. Protecting our slow, uninspiring, can't be taken seriously by NRL referees, about to turn 35 year old captain. This club has a real problem with letting go and moving on and forward. Hence Cotric being a top 5 paid NRL winger. Still lining up with Rapana at the b...

Speaking of which Elliot Whitehead had 9 missed tackles. 9. Yet not a response from the Dubby gallery Had a shocker. Re Smithies, do you think Horse (once he's back) and Puru's defence is that bad, that warrants picking someone marginally better in that area but much worse work with the ball?! For me the Smithies argument highlights most fans views about what constitutes a 'good' player. All they look at is attack. Smithies is a below par attacking player, I agree. Particularly in the modern NRL forward play. However he is a well, well above average defender. He works extremely hard, does...

Actually Blocker hit the nail on the head during I think it was the Manly game - he said that we allow cricket scores too often and that our floor shouldn't be that low. And after the wash up. Thoughts on the penalty try. It was either a penalty try or a sin bin. He didn't have the ball, was in the act of scoring a try and was touched. It was a mistake from Smithies and it was rightly punished imo. Don't see what the drama is. You can't touch an attacking player wh...

I hope this move allows us to push Kris out of the centres and onto a wing. Kris is a good yardage player, good under the high ball, pouncing on a grubber - all attributes that equate to a wing, not a centre. This guys tackle busting stats are eye-watering. Get it done ASAP.

Having a look at these two teams on paper, it's ridiculous that these two teams are playing under the same salary cap.
