Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Teams and Previews *Teams p1
It will be interesting how this week the game is controlled. All week it's been highlighted how the Titans slowed the game down , which is against everything the NRL wants. I expect the refs to want a fast game , if it's slowed down repeatedly I expect the bin to be used Nah. If Annesley’s presser ...

Re: Newcastle Knights sign Canberra Raiders back James Schiller
From the reports Knights will offer Gags a 1 year contract and Schiller is happy to wait a year before claiming that centre spot. Gags may look for a longer contract elsewhere.
Timoko and Kris have a lock on our centres for years. I can understand Schiller's thoughts on the move.

Honestly hooker is by far our worst position. We are 17th in the NRL for hooker quality, even some clubs depth hooker is better than our FG hooker.

How does Ricky play this. Does he drop Schiller back to NSW cup , could that upset the playing group. Does he try and move Schiller on this year and replace him in the top 30 with another player?

Re: James Schiller signs 3 year deal with Newcastle Knights
He's still in front of Hoppa but you'd have to think Cotric now comes back in. Why continue to develop a player , same with Sanders . Release him now if we can secure another player. I'm disappointed he is leaving. I wish him the best but it's next man up Cos if he's currently in our best side he s...

Gagai and Best are their centres.
Not sure when Gagai's contract runs out but he probably doesn't jump either of them.

Re: 'We definitely 1 million per cent want to keep Trey': Raiders keen for Mooney to stay
Trey has a big choice to make and this is where we see if he has the right people advising him. The raiders won't get into a bidding war for him, and nor should they. He can take big dollars at another club with the high risk of blowing it ( Boyd/Titans, Cotric/Bulldogs , Sutton/Bulldogs, Both Lee ...

Parramatta Eels still hoping to hold onto Raiders target Ethan Sanders
Eels teen makes big contract statement A lot has been made of Brad Arthur’s decision not to give Ethan Sanders a shot at filling Mitchell Moses’ shoes and the up-and-coming halfback’s performance on the weekend will only fuel that even more. 19-year-old Sanders set up three tries — one with a cross...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
Titans had a game plan against us and it nearly worked. They were up for this game.
We also had a game plan which was too conservative and handled by the Titans.
We take the 2 points and move on. We will need to be much better this week

Re: Parramatta Eels still hoping to hold onto Raiders target Ethan Sanders
I don't think the 10 day cooling off rule Applies here. They have had 6 rounds to resign him anyway (Parramatta) Why would they need an extra 10 days to changehis mind?? If so Parramatta should waive the 10 days. technically we can't offer him a contract before R6 , so anything before that doesn't ...

Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Teams and Previews
For me Hoppa doesn't get back in this team. Schiller has some errors but he is that much more of a threat than Hoppa. Whitehead must be close to a return , so you would imagine he is in for Hosking. This is where we need to look at our bench. We can't have Whitehead on for 80min and there must be co...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
I agree with Sticky as I said and others , they spoiled the ruck , slowed it down. Lucky not to have many more 6 agains or players in the bin. NRL came out and said you can't put the hand on the ball , they continually did it. I'm glad we won as it would be just made out we were whinging sore losers...

Re: 2024 Round 6 v Titans: Game Day
We were put off our game and also I think we had different tactics. They spoiled the ruck a lot. Hands on the ball and slowed us down. It worked. Not sure why we looked buggered. Fogs kick at the end of normal time , dumb , bad , costly , glad he slotted the field goal. Huge plays , don't know who d...
