Interesting article on news.com.au. Around the clubs in Sydney there were rumours that the national anthem boycott wasn’t well recieved by players and the higher management https://www.news.com.au/sport/former-origin-stars-bombshell-claim-over-anthem-boycott-axings/news-story/e3f03b0308e97319b1925a2...

It’s a good offer. Salary cap will continue to go up every year so in 4 - 5 years time it will probably be the average price for a blue chip centre

2019 Rd 15 V Eels: Teams and Previews

I like Starling. But if Hodgo is back what are people that want Starling in the team suggest we do with him? For him to get minutes without an injury you either need to pull Hodgo off the field or move him into halfback. Or am I missing something. Move Hodgson to Lock. In 2016 it was really effecti...

Re: Jarrod Croker

Im watching the play again right now... he doesnt even rush out of the line BTW. Jack Wighton comes out hardest, Croker follows him in and at the time Townsend had to make a play, he is turned sideways playing both the pass and kick... this madness Im convinced you havent seen the play at all. Re: Jarrod Croker

I completely disagree, did you watch any of the 4 point losses last year? Almost every loss was due to someone breaking out of the defensive line going for that exact play. He got lucky, last year opp teams were just holding the ball up, waited and past behind the players back Sent from my iPhone u...

We have the second best defence in the league, are in the top four, Croker has scored nearly half our team's total points and is our top try scorer, and has come up with some clutch plays to win a few of our matches this year (be it intercepts, goal kicks, one-on-one strips, etc). Re: 2019 Rd 15 V Eels: Teams and Previews

If Cotric is out I would be moving Whitehead to centre and bringing in Murchie to the bench. Tapine to 11 and Sutton to 13. At this stage, I like Starling over Havilii for the utility. He is fast and adds a little more zip which gives the team attacking options in the last 20 minutes of the game. S...

Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

Yep people say all sorts of stuff like Cleary staying at Tigers and Bennett at Broncs - Simmonsen is too good to think he will hang about as backup for 2 years. I agree - take all emotion out of it, it’s Croker that moves on for me. If we lose Cotric or Simmonsen because of some man crush and desir...

Re: Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

Is anyone else concerned that now that Cotric has had a taste of his preferred right centre position, he won't be happy to bide his time on the wing for another 3-4 years until Croker or BJ retire/leave? Yes it is a big risk to the club, but at least there is trade value there. If he requests a tra...

Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

I’m seeing more than enough out of Simonsson, that I would offer Rapana what we could afford and if he declines I would be fine with parting ways.

Croker will be here for life unfortunately so Cotric will go back to the wing for 2020 onwards

Yep, I think when we get a penalty when we are within 10m of the try, we should honestly kick for touch and kick it back 20 metre’s. We are much better from that range

I’m really running out of steam with the NRL. We’ve been reffed out of this game since the 25th minute. Re: 2019 Rd 14 V Sharks: Game Day

Gee, as we are more defensive orientated now, I would really like us taking the 2 now when we get penalties in the first 15 minutes in front of the sticks.

Energy levels are high for both teams, so defenses are harder to crack in the beginning

I also have a solution for the rest of the year. Hodgson to no. 7, Havilii at 9 and we keep Starling at 14. He adds a bit of zip to the team and would be a good option to replace Havilii at the 60 min mark when the forwards begin to tire

I’m with you last raider - Sezer did some good things last night but he gave the tigers 2 seven tackle sets.
