Re: Jack Wighton

Why would frawley come in at 9? We have starling (who's fit and a gun) and hodgo who hopefully isn't far away. Maybe I'm missing something? Without Hodgo we have no organiser. Frawley with his experience in the halves and hooker may give us more organisation, attacking shape and options around the ...

Re: Jack Wighton

Nothing Jack does, looks natural, even his running style. Double that in regards to his play-making. He's was a fine centre, is a great centre in origin and should be put back there and we go to market for both a half and a 5/8. Who cares if he's on "spine money".. Jack and Kris as our ce...

Re: Jack Wighton

I don’t disagree it’s radical. But as hard as Aekins tries we’re getting nothing of note from fullback. There just doesn’t seem to be any other good solution. If you move Jack back there, then you get nothing of note from your halves. Our halves are OK, we just need that extra player in the spine w...

Re: Jack Wighton

So lets take Jack out of the position where he won Dally M and rep honours, and move him back to the position where he was distinctly average, dropped the high ball all the time and was frequently caught out of position? Makes sense... Jack is currently only player we have who looks like an attackin...

It's the same coach that got us to a GF and deep into the finals the past few years. The problem isn't the coach Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk Paul Green won the comp in 2015 for Nth Qld, prelim in 2016, GF in 2017. Sacked in 2020. Re: Coaching issues

Can't say i've ever had issues with Bellemy or Bennett's communication They're pretty clear and consise in what they say and how they say it... they're generally pretty curt in pressers though. Haven't listened to Cleary enough to comment on. But they're objectively dreadful examples to bring up in...

Re: Coaching issues

Most good intelligent coaches can barely string a sentence together. Look at Bellamy, Cleary and Bennett, for example. I think all would struggle to register a score on the Wonderlic but in terms of footy IQ, player/relationship management etc they are all punching billies. Then there’s Hasler... Th...

Im still fuming about this loss. Especially after my baby decided to fill his nappy right on half time, and after further complications prevented me from dropping $50 on the Knights @ 15:1 By the time baby was sorted Knights had run in their first type. Most expensive ever.

If you want to win, get Bellamy. Simple. Sticky has done a remarkable job to get us to where we are. Bellamy will just get us that extra step we need. kicking for 2 twice early in the game against an out of sorts, low in confidence Knights team is dumb and shows our tactics are out dated. Thats on Rick. We’re playing with a seige mentality at the moment. Raiders of ‘19, ‘20 would kick on and thrash Knights by 30+. But we are trying to hang onto l...

He isnt co captain anymore so he had no reason to be in the box.

We need to Hodgo back badly. We have no onfield leadership at the moment. We are blowing massive leads and its because there’s no one in the side who can guide us to victory. There’s no one in the team who we can rely on to make the right call at the right moment, that is the kind of player you need...

Ricky cant coach but he can recruit. With such juxtaposing qualities our form is going to fluctuate every few years. No matter what happens he keeps his job until at least the start of next year. There is also no one else with proven capability who can take his place. He is also contracted until 20...

Boy that loss was hard to take. Toughest of the year so far. I think Hudson had a purple patch of form last year and looks good in a winning team but his baseline form is barely nudging NRL level. Probably time to drop back to reggies to rediscover some form or whatever it is that makes him a good player because im not sure what that is.

Fair call given our form of late but I heard a stat earlier this week that the last 23 times the knights trailed at half time they have lost.

Deep in our hearts we all know that Johnson, Reynolds, Cleary or anyone of that calibre isn't coming to Canberra. It's nice to dream, to hope, to wonder, but it's not going to happen. Keep speculating though lads, if it nourishes your soul. Would we even want Johnson? Been in the NRL for an eternity...

Why is it stupid? Anyway it was just an idea, I briefly considered whether it was a stupid idea.. Clearly not long enough. It is clear that you are simply trolling. Re: What does our next rebuild look like?

Serious question. Canberra relocate to Sydney? Not the club, name, stadium or anything, just the players coaches, trainers etc residences and training base? 30 minute charter flight for home games. Or cheapie Jetstar. If so, we could base ourselves in/near Bondi, only a 20 min drive to the airport. ...

Re: Josh Hodgson reportedly stood himself down as co-captain two weeks ago

Starling is a firecracker but from what I've seen has zero creativity or ball skills. He is literally a run from dummy half at tired forwards type hooker. I don't think putting him in the same team as Wighton and Williams is the right balance.

Re: Broncos considering shock play for Raiders star Josh Hodgson

I'm going to say it. Hodgson was a brilliant recruit and arguably the best hooker we have had since Walters. But the game has changed and I feel like now that we have two halves who have shown the ability to control and run the game, Hodgo has not adapted. While he can undoubtedly still produce mom...

I could understand the homesick thing for Bateman given his daughter, but who is G Willy homesick for? His mummy and daddy? It almost sounds like the kind of excuse an agent makes up when they’re trying to gain a release on compassionate grounds so they can negotiate a better deal for their client.

The biggest threat to Ricky’s tenure is Ricky. Sometimes when you’re on a losing streak the best thing to do is stick solid with your core playing group.
