Re: 2024 Rd 4 v Sharks: Teams and Previews
I mean we're openly talking about it, expressing frustration at it and pointing out the ridiculousness of it... what more can one do as a fan? Do we organise a demonstration at training? Game day banners? Do we storm HQ, take Jed hostage and demand changes in exchange for his freedom? We don't pick...

Re: 2024 Rd 4 v Sharks: Teams and Previews
I don’t understand the “it is what it is”/ “we’re stuck with Whitehead” mentality either. This is a stinker of a decision - 100% made by the coach- to give the armband to a guy who clearly hasn’t been up to NRL standard for 2-3 years. Why are we giving a free pass? Are we really that passive and mir...

Re: 2024 Rd 4 v Sharks: Teams and Previews
And that’s where all this nonsense about Whitehead’s leadership or personality as captain getting him picked comes home to roost. You know what’s bad for culture? Busting your backside and doing everything asked of you, only to see the same favourites get all the treatment irrespective of their on-f...

Re: 2024 Round 3 v Warriors: Game Day
Schuster is in NSW Cup and looked every bit the part last week, Angus Crichton was in NSW Cup and looked like an NRL player Crichton wouldn't be a bad pick up for us an an edge/middle. I'm concerned about his mental state but if that was OK he would make us a better team in 25. He has played well a...

Regardless of the names involved, It’s the second time in less than 12 months that we’ve put sentiment/emotion above winning. Very amateurish from a supposed professional organisation. Let’s hear about how, in a very tight and physical game, we completely wasted our first interchange by giving Whitehead a ceremonial run around before bringing our most in-form player on??

That’s a big milestone.
Hats off to the great man - despite my criticisms, something I have never questioned is how much he cares about the club. And to still be fronting up with enthusiasm 11 years into doing the same job is worth acknowledging, you just don’t see that often, in any industry.

Why this obsession to keep telling us Whitehead is the England captain? Are they playing in Christchurch this week trying to get the 2 competition points??? Whitehead has played one good game for the Raiders in roughly 2 or 3 years. Making him the skipper was bonehead move #1, then blindly picking h...

Rick has coached a lot of NRL games (just ask him).
But his win % is dead on 50% over all that time. From a mathematical point of view - would we be any worse off with a plank of wood in the coach’s chair?
