Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Fans criticising at every chance they get. We're sitting 2-0 on top of the competition. 4 of the last 5 finals series, looking like we will get to another finals series this season. In a transition year might I add. Yet our fans take every opportunity to bag selections and pontificate like they kno...

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Gee this place is ridiculous. Why are we going so well to start the season? Because the club, and it's staff, knows what it's doing. People crying over a team list named on a Tuesday. Trust the process. Blaming Ricky for a team named on a Tuesday like he has just dropped a premiership. 1. It's unli...

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
I suspect we probably also create our own reality on some of these things. Ricky is constantly talking us down saying nobody gives any of our players credit for anything. What comes first the chicken or the egg? He’s hardly warm and engaging with the media in press conference. Why would the media d...

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
This might be a good game for Hudson Young to stand up and show a little something. I think his back end of last year was disappointing and so far this year, albeit a small sample size he's not having the impact we'd expect from a bloke who's played SOO footy and is paid at his level. Would love to...

Re: Through green eyes 2024
The levels people are going to in an attempt to justify and legitimise an unconscious bias. Keep it up, it will only become more uncomfortable and awkward for you as Danny Levi goes from strength to strength. I’d rather enjoy seeing our good players succeed than trying to death ride them. Sad to see!

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
It’s doubling down on the contract error by then also making him captain for 2024. For all this siege mentality nonsense - the club and Rick only have themselves to blame for this situation, they’ve created it EW is nowhere near our best 17, are we going to put outsized loyalty to an individual pla...

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
Nothing about EW’s play in the last 18 months has earned a mortgage on that spot If your justification for shoe horning him into the team largely based on his role as captain and “respect” and not about what he brings as a player then I think you’re tacitly admitting he’s not good enough He’ll be i...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Rugby Union desperate for anything that brings 500 extra patrons to the stadium, to double their crowd. Sent from my CPH2021 using Tapatalk It’s a shame really, because if Canberra hassle a rugby or soccer team that was regularly drawing big crowds it would really strengthen the business case for a...

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
It’s Tapine not Taps
Rapana not Raps
Papalii not Papa
Fogarty not Fog
Cotric not Crabtric
Sometimes we just have affectionate nicknames for players. I quite prefer Hoskings and suspect people will still know who I’m referring about if I use it.

Stephen Larkham reckons the new stadium should have a roof. Makes sense but would want to be a high roof the way Fogs is hitting his bombs at the moment. Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
EW will most certainly be back in the side. It's not even a debate. He deserves a shot to show what he has done over the preseason. He's the captain of the club. Looking at the other players, he will be fitter and stronger too. He needs to be good if he wants to keep a spot but he certainly comes b...

Re: 2024 Rd 3 v Warriors: Teams and Previews
I agree with the majority of views on here that Hoskings is our man and EW would be a backwards step. I also share the concerns many have raised about Ricky’s loyalty to him and possible desire to get him back in. I definitely don’t think this should happen, but if Ricky is keen to find him a start,...

Re: Through green eyes 2024
I feel like there might be an unconscious bias against Danny Levi in these weekly ratings. I feel like there might be a conscious bias for Danny Levi when you give him 3 points every week Billy, even when not a single other person gives him any points as he’s clearly not the best on field. Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
Probably been said already, but outstanding game from Strange today. We have an absolute gun on our hands. The try was great but the tackle on Staines (yes it was penalised) after missing the tackle on Papalii was simply outstanding for a player his age and three games in. Effort play after an erro...

Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
Is Cotric next in line though? We know what he brings and it’s good not great. I’m hearing Schiller is tearing it up and Asomua has the goods. I’m keen to roll the dice on an up and comer and see if we can’t unearth another star rather that going back to steady as it goes 1 step forward 3 steps sid...

Very happy with that performance. Big Red not due back to round 4, EW round 3-4. Kris likely out next week, Cotric will come in. Rest stays the same. Guler will stay in the bigger minute bench role until Horse returns and takes the role over. I wouldn’t be surprised to see mooney get a bench spot i...

Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
We are going alright when the hot argument is over a 20 minute bench role. Guler had 48 minutes today according to NRL.com That was more than any other front rower other than Tapine. So it's not actually a small role he plays. And as per above, if there is a person on this site who has defended and...

I actually think it’s pretty easy I think he’s flat out a better player right now than both. No development needed But it’s a winning team and winning well. A “tough” call will need to be made for Hors, but for me that’s not tough Would you drop Emre for Trey going into next week? We just won by 20...

There is something incredibly refreshing about this team. As someone said earlier, we may not even make the 8 and on paper we might have a more unsuccessful year than last year. Re: 2024 Round 2 v Tigers: Game Day
Honestly Whitehead can't just walk into the starting 13. Hosking's has been brilliant . He has to retain the right side 2nd row position. Smithies is our lock , which means Horse moves to the front row. Guler to drop out. We are developing into a good team , we have strong platform with our forward...
