Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

Playing Jack in the centres would be like playing James Tedesco on the wing. Sure you could do it, and he'll go well... but why would you?? Turbo was brilliant in the centres too. I'll bet Manly fans aren't contemplating him playing there for them. Haha exactly. Our fans are ridiculous at times. Wh...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

So how long will it be until we see a “Jack to Centre” thread? Sent from my iPhone using The Greenhouse mobile app powered by Tapatalk There were lots of people on here advocating that throughout last season. He looks more naturally suited to centre to me (especially if he found himself playing beh...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

I think those player rating are about right. Jack wasn’t the best player on the ground but he more than did his job - impressive game and 7/10 is about where I would put him. Papa wasn’t the worst out there but wasn’t at his usual high standard. 5.5 - 6 is a pass and that’s about as high as I could ...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

Out of curiosity, if the penalty try wasn’t awarded, was the alternative a penalty and Jack in the bin for 10 minutes? I imagine the penalty try is the lesser penalty of those two scenarios? Yes, It would be interesting if you gave the opposition the choice of penalty try or man in the bin. What wa...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

So if NSW win the next game and win the series where does that leave Latrell for next year? He’s probably the best centre getting around but can’t argue the team went better without him. Surely he doesn’t get back for game 3, and I’d imagine he will struggle to get back in next year if NSW are winni...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

It didn't really matter tonight as there starting pack (did Napa actually play?)was destroyed but qld need some better bench options , surely they can't win with a bench makeup of Mbye, Wallace and Glasby, Full credit to Mbye for being this year's QLD player to cheat death during Origin week. Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

Jack looked fresh as a daisy post match and Papa seemed injury free. Gotta be happy with that! That's the most important part. I'd think about resting Papa or at least reducing his minutes vs Eels. He looked a bit tired in that first stint. Yeah he has been immense all year and he did seem a bit sl...

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

Funny how quick you go from roosters to feather dusters - some big question marks over a few players in maroon now. Morgan’s not a centre, Hunt gives away too much to Cook, McGuire is a grub that doesn’t offer much. I suspect Qld will stick but I think it will cost them. I’d say the rain helped Qld....

No rocks or diamonds for Jack tonight. Pretty much mistake free apart from the penalty try and nothing outstanding - just a very solid performance. He holds the jumper for game 3 in my eyes.

Geez Fergo has put his hand up for hard carries. Hope Cotric watches and takes note. Big Cotric fan and don’t like Fergo much but can’t help but admire his hard carries and would love to see more in Cotrics game given his huge frame.

Re: 2019 State of Origin II: Queensland V New South Wales

Surely you'd move Jack to 6 with Cleary injured? I was speaking about it with a mate pregame. We actually have no cover for a winger or centre as the backrowers we have don’t naturally shift to centre. I would rather see Graham at 6 and Wighton at 4 then vice versa. Graham would get burnt for speed...

If the Blues win it's in spite of their halves, not because of them What game are you watching? Game 1 ? Maloney is typical Maloney. Good for multiple errors, good for multiple crucial gun plays. Just need to defend his errors and Blues win. Cleary has forced two turnovers and been rock solid in de...
