Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Game Day

Comparing both team's recent performances and considering our injury toll, you would think Storm are the favourites for this. However, I'm tipping us to come up with a win. We have no business winning this game if we play to the standard we have been lately but I feel that we will step up to the pla...

Re: Canberra Raiders offer Nick Cotric three-year deal

Speaking of fullback and to look at the other side side of the 'ruthless coin' - assuming that HSS can step up into Nick's position, we need to use that money to upgrade on CNK (as much as a lot of people on here don't want to hear that). If we can then can then shift CNK to right centre on his wag...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2020

We'd end up with better players picking the eyes out of the Broncos than picking up Parra's dregs. 100% There aren't many opportunities better than this when it comes to poaching talent from other clubs and there likely won't be another opportunity like this when it comes to the Broncos. Re: Canberra Raiders offer Nick Cotric three-year deal

Have had a strong feeling he's going to leave for a while now. As tough as it would be to lose a young rep player like him, a great kid and local junior, this is the circle of life when it comes to the salary cap. It's not an easy thing to say this, but when push comes to shove, it's guys like him ...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2020

I'd be looking at somebody from Manly for the right price, their forwards have proved over at least a couple years now that they work hard and aim up. Sironen, Thompson and Gosiewski all off contract in 2021 if we're looking at second rowers. I think Paseka would be a good pick up as a middle too - ...

100% on the Oldy analysis. I actually think they will opt for Scott at centre, knowing this is a big game for him.It may be the sort of game he recovers his confidence with. Alternatively, he could get hammered too... I would play Cotric at centre (just to see him get early ball with more space) bu...

Lol Luke Bateman tho... Moving on, if I were John Bateman I'd be firing Moses immediately... advised him to knock back $750k/year at his current club only to field a max offer of $2mil over 3 seasons at the Bulldogs - a touch over $650k/year to have to move to Sydney to a club that doesn't look like...

Re: Shannon Boyd reportedly wants to switch back to Canberra Raiders

Call me crazy but I would take a gamble on Boyd at $200-250k. He will come in to a winning culture and should be more driven to get himself in shape/form. You're not hoping that he will miraculously transform in to a starting prop. But on limited minutes he could provide great impact off the bench, ...

There may be valid reasons for not wanting to include a guy like Boyd on minimum wage in our squad but this whole notion that a good club shouldn't take a punt on washed up player on minimum wage ain't it. If you look at successful sporting teams across various competitions, more often than not they...

If Ricky thinks he can go 80, then he starts at right edge. The "earn your way back" goes out the window when there's no reggies and your starting backrower is out an extended period. If he can't go 80, then he starts on the bench and he gives Tapine a rest after 30 minutes and plays another 10-15 ...

Why give Paps the final conversion? Points may matter in the final analysis for positions on the ladder. Yeah agree. Papa is undoubtedly a club legend but there's no room for that business. I would be confident in Tapine to slot in to that second row position particularly once Young is able to play again. In saying that, I think it would be important to bring in a solid middle from outside of the club if Bateman leaves.
