Re: Canberra Raiders reportedly interested in signing Matt Frawley

Hingano replacement? Different positions. Hingano is our depth Hooker/Winger Hahaha. But winger before hooker. Did people miss the news that Hingano was released at the end of the season and currently has no contract? BTW, Jordan Turner was the ESL player who didn't make the grade with Raiders. I t...

Who is better? Williams or Frawley?
Frawley was actually ok for Dogs a couple of yrs ago. No clue how he went in ESL.
We already know Williams is ok.

So, bet on Frawley's youth?
He made Jordan Turner look good by comparison.

Re: Canberra Raiders 2010s Team of the Decade

This depends on whether you're voting for the players that contributed the most or those that reached the highest heights. Take the two players I'm most interested in - Whitehead and Bateman. Whitehead has been a tremendous player for the club for half a decade and he will have contributed more than...

Re: I think we're close, is 2020 our year ?

If Josh Papalii can stay fit and healthy it's another top four finish and a shot at winning. If a second middle can find some real go forward, to supplement and support Paps then it's in the bag. This probably has to come from Horsbrough or Guler - but if there is an opportunity to acquire some addi...

Williams is capable of stepping forward to cover Hodgson in the event that he leaves the field, so I'd expect the 'roaming' player at 14, rather than the dummy half cover.

I think BJ's close to the top of the curve and the best teams have a knack of releasing good players at exactly that point.

Scott for BJ suggests even more focus on a defensive and conservative game plan. And a winning one.

I think the criteria for the award is farcical. Solely on test rugby league. Youd think such a prestigious award would be given to the best player in the world over a season. I’ve followed what’s happened with Jackson Hastings. I just somehow doubt that’s enough for Bennett. He’d want more than one good season. I would suspect the same, but he played and extra week into the season than Williams, so if there was a question of rotation, you'd think it would be the other w...

Just noticed Williams has been punted for Hastings... Interesting call by Wayne. I'd say that has more to do with the fact that this is a tour... and they have two first tier Tests against New Zealand coming up. On a tour, the coaches generally aim to give all the players a game. Hastings has had a...

S Burgess and Roby are big misses for us. Both are significant upgrades on their replacements. Also not happy about the Aussies in the squad. Can live with Coote, as he's done the hard yards with Scotland, but the other two shouldn't be there. Especially Austin who isn't close to being good enough....

I think he lives in Aus all year round, so it's an easier trip for him than most.

I doubt Bateman is tired, as such, but he'll want some time back in Bradford.

The defence was crushing, but all three tries happened because of the sheer will of the attackers involved. They were only half chances that turned into tries on the back of effort.

After today, the only team that can beat the Raiders is the Raiders. The one problem this season has been dealing with expectation and winning the pressure games when we're favourites. Give us Souths and it's a 50-50 call on the books and we'll smash 'em. If it's Manly we'll be favourites and it'll ...

I was surprised to see Elland Road mentioned earlier in the thread.

It looks OK, but it's really a crumbling wreck, with no room, few facilities and in a dreadful area of Leeds without transport links.

Across the other side of town, Headingley is a wonderful stadium, now.

I really think the Raiders are over playing their hand in terms of popularity over here. It's got to be remembered, though, that this is never going to...
