Re: 2018 Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day

People **** rave about Oates. I'm not a fan cos he regularly tosses up games like he had today. Did absolutely nothing. Win by 50 v Manly and he's everywhere but he has games where he's deadset invisible. Not in the top 5 wingers in the comp imo

Re: Canberra Raiders linked to Sydney Roosters Ryan Matterson

Rate Matterson. As a back rower. And we don't need back rowers. He isn't a 5/8. He's done nothing at 5/8. If we had a creative ball running halfback it might work. We don't. He's a good solid player but I'd be looking to invest in other positions.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018

It's really not overs. If we don't pay that sort of money we get a squad without elite talent and elite talent is what win you comps. You should be able to afford a couple of million dollar players under a well managed cap. I don't think we lack elite players. Hodgo and EW are English International...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018

I didn't think TPJ would make it in the NRL. I had seen hundreds of players like him before, absolute whizkids at levels where natural talents were all that was required but without the drive and absolutely insane level of self centered dedication to fitness and health including but not limited to ...

To be fair to Hingano, he hasn't been given the chance to play in his actual position for us yet. He certainly isn't a 9.

All I'm concerned about is the raiders getting 2 points. We're more likely to do that at home than in Wagga. We need all the help we can get. Yeah that's a narrow minded view but idgaf

Re: Wagga to host Canberra Raiders NRL game in 2019 under Wagga City Council deal

I hate it. We aren't good enough to be giving up home games. We were 7/5 at home this year and deadset should've been 12-0. Threw 5 away. We've been dreadful on the road. 3/8. Giving up a home game could be the difference between making the 8 or not. It shouldn't if you're a good enough side. But i...

Provided Abbey can bulk up a little in the off season he will be fine, Jack was also average for his first few seasons at fb don't forget, and while a decent player now, not a rep player and never will be, and not someone I want at our club after what he did. I would love to see Knight and Murchie play this week, but I guess we can't really make changes after the last two games. Stick seems really big on the whole 'give them a sendoff' thing too. Would you rather: A) Beat the Roosters and Souths as we did. B) lose both those games but give Murchie and K...

Abbey was poor, his error rate is not NRL standard. He went within finger tips of scoring 2 tries today GE. Johnston was trash today. I said as much in this thread and got canned. Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018

Should be throwing the bank at James Maloney. Would solve a lot of our issues. Perhaps. He certainly wouldn't solve any of our defensive issues though. Austin cops a lot of stick for his d. Rightly so. But Maloney's d is worse. Missed the most tackles in the comp, and by a long way. Obviously what ...

I remember Issac John looking like a world beater when he debuted Me too. Also pretty sure Sam Williams won man of the match on debut in a 40-0 flogging of the Sharks. Was actually 40-12. Gotta say I'm amazed at how well he's going. He was never dominant in the 20's and I watched most our games. He was released for a reason. Looks to have improved dramatically in the last year or so.

Indeed. I was gutted when he left, watching him in the 20's you could see how good he was going to be he just destroyed sides. Not 1 bit surprised he's gone on to do it in 1st grade.

Why are we looking at ANOTHER high priced forward? Why not a frigging half? Because he is a genuine 80min stud forward who could well be the best forward in the game in the next couple of yrs. Why he's even mentioning Wighton in the 1st place? He's out and won't be back this year. You work with what you have. Get on with it. It's symptomatic of the issues at the club. Shifting blame. I'm staggered by Stuart's post match presser. Literally all he did was sit there and make excuses. As if we're the only side in the comp that have a few out this time of year. It was amazing, even by his standards. We had 55 % possession, got beat but Rick was delighted with the 'effort'. Geez I dunno
