Re: 2019 in review - Sia Soliola

He was an absolute beast all year. I was a bit worried early he might have gone a season too long but no way. He led our forwards with maturity and pride and goddamn, even if he is closer to the end of his career than the start, we have to keep him. He's good for the team, club and community. He's o...

Jesus, I read that all wrong for a second there. I read "moving on" as in, "time to go" and my brain went ?!?!?!?!?! for about thirty seconds.

Re: 2019 in review - Aidan Sezer

Finished the season very strongly. But was out of the team and in reggies until about halfway through the season. Because he was injured, and Sam Williams got lucky that the team went on a rampage and Ricky decided not to change what was working. In reality, Sezer should have come back a couple gam...

They do them most years.

However, I abandoned the line. After waiting 20 minutes in the beating sun to move maybe 5m - and that was just to get in and I was nowhere near doing that! - I gave up. I wasn't the only one. It didn't seem to be particularly well organised.

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

I'm still upset that there will be no repercussions. The NRL want this to go away as quickly and quietly as possible. And we'll get to next year and Cummins will still be assigned games and Annesley will still say it was right. Fortunately, Bathurst is this weekend (c'mon Lowndsey, don't rebreak my...

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

Referees broke NRL rules with controversial 'six again' backflip It's the rule that shows that even when the NRL says they got the decision right, they actually got it wrong. Rule 16.9, which governs when referees can change their calls, states once Cummins had signalled six again he can only chang...

Nah, that was just the length of time it took them to set up the rig and stage. Seriously, I was timing that, took them forty minutes. I was very worried they wouldn't get it down in time.

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

I have to say, the 2 most contentious moments of the grand final were both extremely rare 1 in a million (or whatever the odds may be) events that we are unlikely to see again in a very long time, if ever. What are the chances of both incidents happening in the same and both went against us. And th...

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

Can I just throw in a word for Emre Guler? I know he didn't play that many minutes but I really thought he had a big impact, his best game for us. He made a huge tackle that made the Roosters spill and he was always making metres. I already liked the kid but last night made me like him even more.

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

I nearly lost it when I went out before - and saw the front page of the CT, with the pic of Croker hunched over at full time, and the headline, YOU DID US PROUD.

Yes, you did, boys.

I only wish I could be at the welcome home tomorrow, but I have to be at work.

Re: Cotric, Wighton and Papalii selected for the Kangaroos

Latrell Mitchell gets the nod ahead of Croker who was a sentimental favourite to be picked. The guy gets dumped from the NSW Origin side and reportedly is still spitting the dummy in GF week, but still picked. Croker could end up being the only Raiders legend not to play rep footy at the highest le...

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day

It will soon be forgotten as we lost the game, but Croker's effort to make a try-saver on Mitchell on the other side of the field in the first half was a truly incredible play, even more so as he then cleaned up the next play back in his customary left centre position. This! I remember seeing this ...

Let the Sydney press blow their hot air. All the better when we leave them with egg on their face.

Interesting reversal of 2016, where we won practically everything we laid hands on at the Dally M, here we've won...nothing except Johnny B's positional award.

Hopefully Sia won the Ken Stephens but we won't know because it wasn't shown or even mentioned!
