Re: 2019 Rd 22 V Storm: Game Day

Not sure about Simmonsen on the bench tonight. I was excited to see him in the utility role but seems he was just there as cover for BJ. With a couple of backrowers capable of covering centres maybe we’d go better with another forward on the bench? You really can't come to any conclusions on utilit...

Re: 2019 Rd 22 V Storm: Game Day

One other thing to mention is the Hodgson run around with his forwards. We tried that a lot last year and it really didn't seem to produce results with our focus (Paulo/boyd) and our targets. Seems like we have all the time in the world to run it this year with Horsburgh and Lui. What's happened? Do...

Ugh Give it Wighton That had good shape and depth It felt like he was regularly 5m too far wide this game. We need a variation where Whitehead provides an angled option starting his run where Croker is and cutting back in. Then Wighton can drift and there's threats everywhere. Short, wide, cut out,...

I like that Simmo has been rewarded with a spot in the 17, but Im not convinced the saftey 1st bench isnt the way to go. Havili, Simmo, Lui/ Horsburgh, Sutton.
Interesting. At the moment I think any bench with Havili on it is also just a safety option.

I thought about that but he's just so bad at centre though. Makes bad defensive decisions. Finds it hard to make an impact against other players of the same speed when he's playing 80 too.
He'd need to do a 180 for me to pick him as my 80min centre.

All reasonably good points Pat, however on the Tedesco thing, I think many of us were simply saying he was the difference on the weekend, but that doesn't mean we can't beat them if he plays. BIG difference, in my opinion. Tedesco was the difference a few days ago, but we still could have won that ...

Peachey has decided he wants to stay now. No idea where I'd play him in my side.... Maybe utility. Try and work a deal with the Eels to get Peats there and sign a min wage replacement. Start Rein and have Peachey come on after 25mins. Sezer signing would be a no no. Their spine won't get any better ...

EW isn't already there at all. The replay shows him not being able to get across as fast as Croker who had already come in and then tried to cover. Our bench was fine in this game. It was all about our errors and pens. Once the interchanges happened we had a run of 5 roosters penalties with only one coming from a bench player and all the errors were from our 80min players.

It's laughable really. Once Wighton makes that call it's done. The only way something is saved there is by the roosters **** up.

We were good enough to win that. Created enough opportunities. Just a difference in execution in the end. Should have had a Tapine try. Should have had a Wighton try and in the key moments they just came up with what they needed.
