Re: So I've thought about it, and I'm prepared to give Stuart the benefit of the doubt to start 2019

I still think we are one decent middle short. I think we will miss Paulo and his carry’s. However if the defence can be significantly improved off the back of the change of dynamic and squad then it will be a net positive. I’m very sceptical of CNK, and I don’t think we have a first grade standard ...

Yeah I don't get it either. Training has never been an issue with Lui. Maybe it's a kick up the butt because he didn't lead in the trial like expected for one of the senior guys. Guess we'll just have to see what happens with him round 1.

Just called ricky to get his feedback on this. He immediately hung up on me. He called back shortly after:

"Sorry mate did you say Pickman?"
"No, Nickman".

Re: 2019 Trial 2 V Bulldogs: Teams and Game Day *Teams p1*

It's possible he has a spot already and stuart wants to maximize the fringe forwards in the side to see how they go (despite "strongest lineup"). If it's not though and it's all going off trial form then surely Horsburgh firming for a round 1 bench spot. Pretty big fall if he goes from starting -> 3...

Well there you go. Lots of players who can't possibly play first grade. Hopefully if they are used it's as a unit and they don't come heavily into the first grade rotation.

I honestly didn't notice him playing. Sent from my SM-N960F using The Greenhouse mobile app powered by Tapatalk He gave away a few penalties to stop their momentum. Made 2 good runs and a number of back to back defensive efforts in the middle, but unless he's able to produce at a slightly higher le...

How did Lui and Sutton go?

Sent from my iPhone using The Greenhouse
Sutton copped an early knock and seemed a little injured later. Not the best debut.
Horsburgh was excellent.

After that trial and with adding Sam Williams and Starling to their side, Mounties should give it another top 4 tilt this year.
Tony Satini especially looks to have improved a lot and once Simonsson settles down and gets his bearings he should be good too.

Everything taps did was quality but his time was limited.
Was interested to see how Ponga went. He's got a lot of work ahead of him but when he gets some time he's got some really crisp passing.

Kris was excellent defensively. Murchie too. Horsburgh really added some starch but looks like he needs to work on his fitness a bit. Good enough to be on the bench in the round 1 17. Starling was great but he's never playing first grade. He'd be a liability in the middle in defense. We looked reall...

Did anyone from our 30 man unit go down with any injuries?
It looked like Sutton went off injured. He also copped another knock quite early.
The commentators confused him and Hudson Young a lot so it's hard to tell exactly what each of them did.

Good points on Sia. I think we'll see Roberts at 6 and Jacks in reserve grade to start. Taylor playing well with Roberts is a big reason they got him back.
Word at Titans is that Jacks will play at 6 and Brimson as an impact utility
Who's playing fullback if not Brimson?

Food for thought is that Ryley Jacks was to be signed at the same time as the english boys. Pretty sure you have to apply the raiders tax GE. That 6000k to the titans game that people are referencing was reported as over 11000.
I think you'll find the crowd at Seiffert was actually only 17.81 people.
