Got the results of MRI today. Turns out I have arthritis in my lh shoulder. No more pushups or bench press.
Not sure what to make of this. See the GP tomorrow for more information

Re: Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

We can ABSOLUTELY win the comp next year with CNK-Cotric-Croker-Joey-Rapana as our back five, and hot tip: that’s still our best back 5 This discussion is absolutely nuts. You people are insane Of course its our BEST back 5, though potentially in the future you swap JC-NC. The question is can we af...

Re: Cotric, Wighton, Papalii selected for Origin

Kiwi, i might pick you before i'd pick Saifiti. Though your eligibility might be questionable based on user name, but then, Jimmy Tamou is an Origin player. Eligibility would be the least of my concerns, at 65kg I'm a little worried at squaring up against Josh Papalii but the positive is I'd likely...

Re: Jarrod Croker

I guess Jack being picked at centre for NSW blows away the conspiracy theory there is some sort of bias against the Raiders keeping Croker out of Origin. The state selectors pulled a guy out of Origin retirement ahead of him for game 1 then picks his team mate out of position for game 2. Hmmmm do y...

Re: Are we premiership contenders?

Every injured raiders player in the last few years has come back early. It must be magic water at the AIS. I still have this sneaking thought in the back of my head that the Raiders media team went 100% at the ‘out for the season’ line, shutting down any chance of playing this year, while secretly t...

Re: Cotric, Wighton, Papalii selected for Origin

I dont think Jack is in the top few 6s in club land, but I think he is ideally suited to play off someone like Pearce. He is built for the hard fast game of Origin, flashy guys get left behind. He also suits the straight and fast game based off the Cook /Tedesco running style, much more than more tr...

What annoys me on a far to regular basis is out halves getting caught with the ball on the 5th - it’s really basic stuff. There was a set at the end there, when jack and Sezer ended up within 2 meters of each other on the 4th, Jack gets tackled, Sezer stuck in the short side, play goes back to the c...

Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

Jordan Rapana's Canberra Raiders future in doubt with club facing salary cap squeeze "There was an offer made to him. It was a pretty good offer and at the time they sort of hesitated, the Rapana camp," The Australian’s Brent Read says. "I think because Rapana didn't take that deal,...

If a player comes in with a swinging arm/high shot, and knocks a bloke out, should he be charged greater than if he did exactly the same and the player was abel to play on?? Intent is the same, risk is the same, result is different. Thats essentially the argument - I believe form watching those 2 in...

A win here with byes, international round and Parra coming up set us up VERY nicely to come out of the origin period.

The way I read the dates, we will not play another game while our origin reps are in camp, as international and bye rounds fall in camp weeks.

Yeah I heard that MMM chat as well - I think their biggest issue is they are offloading players that no one wants. Mbye would be a good keep for them, but he is the only one realistically they could offload and have another team pick up the majority of his contract. They will be stuck with Packer an...

Yeah, there is no doubt the decision to go with Boyd and Paulo over Vaughan were mistakes, but the recruitment this year and the shape the pack has taken now eases that blow considerably. As we know it had nothing to do with actual rugby league though. Yeah I don’t think it the time line was a clea...

Funny how having Jack pairing with him again last night fixed his confidence issues. When toots is comfortable with those around him, he is a perfectly fine defender. When he has a lack of confidence, he overplays his hand, line rushing etc.

A solid performance from Sezer, better than Williams recent form. My PB is from Canberra 2015. It's definitely more hilly than Sydney, especially the last few years with some course changes - it's a very flat course now. Yeah my half PB was at Sydney. Listen, I realise there are merits for both options - but do you think that Sezer playing for a future contract somewhere else will be happy to distribute to Jack, or do you think he will try to run the show and prove what he is capable of?? i think the latter, and I dont think thats a good thing.

For me it is fairly simple. Since Sezer has been in green, he has looked like a player trying to play to a structure he is uncomfortable with. He doesn't look to naturally ball play, run, kick or pass. He looks 'tight'. The one game I would say he looked to be playing freely was his first, when he w...
