Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day

Both out halves got early ball, creating time and space for them, the second rowers and centres.

Watching a number of the plays we were standing very deep, and I bloody like it.

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day

My strategy for today is to pretend this isn’t happening. My wife is out for the day, so the kids and I are doing swimming lessons, taking the bikes for a ride around the lake, having a bbq lunch and making this an awesome day.

Before I turn into an absolute dribbling mess about 5pm.

Someone from the Raiders needs to print this out and pin it up in the dressing rooms today.

This is what it’s pike to be a raiders fan. Emotion, loyalty, and patience waiting for the good times to come back.

Awesome post.

Re: Rapana eyes Japan rugby union switch

I get the feeling this all revolves around Sezer. I can completely understand the team and Sezer putting all of the negotiations or announcements off until after our season is done. Makes sense. It makes perfect sense also for Sezer to take advantage of his current market value as a top 4 half on a ...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

Ryan Matterson wanting out of the Tigers. Falling out with the coach. You would take him on his current deal but I imagine he'd be seeking an upgrade at his new club. Also a red flag that he's been shown the door at 2 previous clubs so might be damaged goods from an attitude perspective. wants more...

Re: The Boogs

So big question... are we doing the Boogs again this year? I feel like it’s been a big season for the Greenhouse, we’ve almost single-handedly carried the Raiders into the top 4, and I think it’s time we rewarded (lol) some of its hardest workers (haha) with some well-earned accolades (snigger). Th...

They'd be a tough opponent but we've beaten them twice this year and lost to manly twice. Something about manly puts us off our game. In any event there's harder sides to beat than both those teams if we're to win this thing. I'd like them to lose just because I know a lot of sharkies supporters :l...

Im starting to sense a trend in Sticks coaching - he gives the boys a lot of room to be adults, to take ownership etc, but that doesn't work for everyone. He hasnt coached the stupid out of BJ, he hasn't coached the reaction to antagonising out of Tarps, and he hasnt coached the nonsense out of Huds...

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Teams and Previews

One thing I hope follows through in he next month is that we are actually fairly good at wining against top teams as the underdog. We beat Melbourne in Melbourne, we beat Cronulla at home in their biggest game of the year etc. Its the ones where we are hosting the match and are favourites - Roosters...

I really hate to say this, and hopefully I get it ‘shoved in my face’ for the finals, but for me the based purely on who is best for the positions available it would be: 2. Simmonsen - just doesn’t put a foot wrong, breaks tackles, doesn’t make errors 4. BJ - game breaker, and I hope his 2 week brea...

I heard an interesting take on a podcast this morning. This was on the Saturday footy show, so was aired prior to the match. I’m still disgusted. But now I have calmed down a bit, if you look at what HYs job in that situation as the next man in is, he had to do everything he can to get under the player and get a hand under the ball. Re: What's your preference: Storm or Roosters for the first finals game

Yeah, we've got away with a couple of comebacks vs the Storm and Sharks and also managed to lose against Manly despite being the better team. We have been scraping out some wins, but our form has been scrappy at best. Certainly not the level required to win 3 finals games to take out the comp. That...

Trail running is the bomb. Its peaceful, scenic. It doesn't feel as strenuous or taxing. No one runs up the big hills, and flying down the big hills is fun. 3rd just got a whole lot more attractive.
