Re: The Motorsport Thread

It really is a huge expense in development costs to develop a new model, even if the chassis is technically the same these days. In isolation, look at a front splitter. That has to be digitally designed and CFD tested. Then it potentially goes through wind tunnel testing for drag/downforce levels. O...

Re: The Motorsport Thread

The Kelly’s would be nuts not to get a couple of other teams on board to make it an attractive option. WAU logically would transition to a Camero with their HSV links and I think a partnership between KR and them would make it worth while. Supercars needs to do something to even up the amount of ca...

F1 testing well under way now. Ferrari putting the foot down and trying to intimidate rivals early. Mercedes not interested and just sandbagging inthe middle of the pack. After a small sample last year and what I saw tonight I'm still surprised not many have Murchie in their 17. For all the wraps the likes of Guler get (who I think is a fine player) I really think Murchie is our best young forward coming through the lower grades. He is a definite FG'er to my eye, wo...

What about 2016 then GE? We only played one trial didn’t we? People were happy with that at the time. I’ve actually highlighted that earlier somewhere recently, actually. Maybe in this thread. The trouble is... we have the experience of the past two seasons to learn from, and it appears we are not,...

The Viking clap is hokey and unoriginal. Like all good things, you have too much of it... then it jumps the shark. Would compromise and roll it out for player milestone games and finals matches. But I’m with others who suggest that 6000 people doing it on a Saturday afternoon vs the Titans is strai...

Yeah no slight on Bateman, I agree I think he is going to be good for the club but by the same token the club shouldn't be paying huge money for blokes yet to prove themselves in the NRL just because a couple have worked out for us now. That is how we should've been negotiating with him, advising t...

Matt, appreciate your post and it makes sense. However, I think the broader discussion with this recruitment interrelates with our management of the salary cap. I mean, we know the extraordinary amount of money we offered Austin at the beginning of last season where someone had conspired to offer h...

I was pretty happy with the 2016 trial in Orange. The top team was intense and looked good, and blew the Knights away. Look what happened in 2016. I was unhappy with what's happened in trials since. The top team has looked totally disinterested in the trials and it showed in the performances. That ...

I highly doubt Ricky has ‘offered’ or ‘given’ the fullback spot to a reserve grade winger. Wighton has been earmarked for the 6 since late last year. So the fullback spot is up for grabs. If I’m a player that thinks I can make it as an NRL fullback, but currently aren’t getting a chance, I’m findin...
