Re: The Film Thread

I watched Karate Kid the other night. Daniel son !!! Wax on Wax off..paint defence..side to side. The best part of Karate Kid is the warning at the start of the fight that says “you can’t hit above the shoulders”. Only for the star of the show to win the day with a flying kick to the head. Sort of ...

New team should’ve been called Greater Eastern Canberra, had a third of their home games played in Western Sydney and let NSW pay for it.. everyone wins!!

Re: TPAs per club revealed

Basically the figures show TPAs give some clubs an advantage that’s worth an extra $600,000 to $800,000. The difference between the club with the lowest TPAs and the largest is almost $1 million. That’d buy an extra marquee player , a least a darn good one. How is that a level playing field. or $10...

^^^ better for Raiders to announce a new signing in the new year than this year so another team can continue to pay that player towards the 2019 salary cap

Is it from the calendar year, from when a season ends or another time?

Re: The Cricket Thread

The main reason for this is that if there's an incorrect no ball called, it can't be referred to be overturned, whereas when there isn't a no ball called, it can be referred and overturned to be called not out.
Not good that it's being ignored so often

^^ true edwahu, looking back all Raiders rookie of the year from 1987 onwards have all gone on to play 39 or more first grade games which surprised me (exception Bulgarelli with 27) 2018: Guler 2017: Cotric 2016: Priest 2015: L Bateman 2014: Boyd 2013: Vaughan (Milford debuted same year) 2012: Nicho...

Re: The Cricket Thread

It's going back to the foundation we are laying. In the junior ranks the kids are being taught to play with strong hands hitting through the line. This is great for pounding the fences but also great for hitting catches. Even at the very early ages kids get to bat for their allotted time. Placing v...

Raiders fined $150,000 for shifting NRL game to Wagga

If the ACT government is going to put up another stinker of a deal regarding the new stadium etc I wouldn’t be upset if the club at least explored the option of re-locating elsewhere whether it’s Brisbane, Perth etc. to see if it would put them in considerably stronger stead. But that’s easy for me ...

If Raiders took the funding deal from NSW and are taking a game out to regional NSW as part of the deal knowing full well that it'd still be worth it even copping the $150k fine in doing so, then it goes to show how **** the current deal ACT have put down in supporting their home team the Canberra R...
