Re: Michael Ennis joins Canberra Raiders as coaching consultant
I find it’s painful and irritating when the drummer gets the tempo wrong, which happens disappointingly frequently. It messes up the rythym of the crowd. When the timing is good and there’s a decent size crowd, it’s great.

The Sharks won because the bunker overturned a call without justification for it, and the on field officials made an egregious error calling Beej's pass forward. Put the slide rules and scientific calculators away. It was a Good old fashion forward pass. Didn’t affect the outcome. Better team won. End of story. I agree with everything you said. Except the bit about the forward pass. nah, it was forward. Move on Unlike the pass, I’ll move forward.

Hi BnM, on the video which has been around for some time, be that as it may, the rule in the past was always relative to the player passing the ball, it could not be taken in front of that player without being called a forward pass. thoughts on whether or not the rule should change no matter how it comes out of the hand? momentum or not, the onus could be on the passer to make sure the ball goes backwards and it would be easier to make calls on The interpretation has become way too loose these days. If we don't turn up and dead set give it to these guys on Friday we are absolutely joking ourselves. Penrith are playing good footy, but we have every chance here, 2 days after Origin. Agree. We need to play with discipline and start aggressive in defence so they don’t get the chance to work themse...

Lars, I reckon there should be an internet-wide filter that prevents anyone commenting about forward passes, unless they can prove they understand the concept of momentum. The idea you can prove a pass is forward by comparing a still of when the pass was thrown to a still of when the pass was caugh...

I honestly don’t understand how some people think Maloney’s pass to JAC’s try was forward. I thought it was clearly back out of the hands and only momentum took it forward. Maloney finished in front of the ball and JAC had to prop to catch it. Teddy and cook were great. Impressed with turbo doing pl...

That is exactly the reason the raiders are suddenly over the cap.world cup. Rep bonuses. And it sits squarely on Don, as he should expect x amount to make rep sides. Nah I disagree with that. However at least you've stated your case pretty well there lars so happy to agree to disagree. I don't want it to come across as if I don't think referees make errors. 3/10.
Defensive structures/attitude and game management need to be improved. Obviously too many close games lost this year and with a 10-15% improvement in those areas we could push for top 4 next year. Whether we have the coaching staff to improve in those areas is another question.

Didn't the Titans stand them down for a few rounds when they were charged? That should be taken into account for any action by the club or integrity unit. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 2-3 game suspension.

Vaughan and Boyd better not be going I'm massively surprised those two have been named. Otherwise, a pretty good squad. To me, it doesn't matter that Pearce didn't commit a crime. That's not the only basis on which the nrl can penalise a player. Nor should it be. That's what the criminal justice system is for. The nrl penalises players to 1) make clear to other players that similar behaviour will not be tolerated, an...
