Re: 2024 State of Origin III- Maroons v Blues

That's my entire point though, right? Assuming we're all inline with Gordon Tallis' comments and behavior even though he's a complete flog is like me saying all New South Wales fans are aligned with guys like EDIT They're individuals, their views don't necessarily reflect the entire state. Re: The Politics Thread 2024

People are being very quiet on the whole CFMEU thing. For me it personifies every concern I have about the union movement and the Labor Party. My father was a tradey and ran a small business. He HATED the CFMEU for their bullying tactics and will never vote Labor. Unions are absolutely essential, b...

Not to start a fight but that’s a tad too far. Pick Paul Gallen or (insert detested Blues player) but the two you name are beyond this joke.

Re: 2024 State of Origin III- Maroons v Blues

Can everyone please stop this non-sense about Moses and Cleary. Moses isnt worth Clearys left shoelace . Unpopular opinion but NSW win by plenty last night if Cleary plays. He would of found space and numbers for OBs and they would of run amok. Anyone who replays game watch how Moses is unable to un...

Re: 2024 State of Origin III- Maroons v Blues

The selection of Felise Kaufusi really surprised me, I thought Slater was better than that. Felise has been on the NSW highlights reel far too often. Cobbo being tackled into the in-goal was woeful from him. Basically surrendered to it before he even received the pass. In the end, in a hugely inten...

Im really interested to hear from the powers that be re Cam Murray sin bin It's a tricky one because he got involved as a non active player and that i would think is usually an automatic send off But it's not like he did really anything and a send off for push and shove would have felt unbelievably...

Re: 2024 State of Origin III- Maroons v Blues

Who do you put Cleary in for though? Moses picked himself for next year. Do you drop Luai? Impossible decision really. Cleary doesn't come back. 14 at best He's the best player in the game. I really don't see a scenario where he doesn't return to the starting side. If QLD win tonight does Dearden s...

Moses, Haas and the two Crichton's were better imo
I’d include Best, Luai and Murray on that list
Barnett was best on ground

I can understand them starting Kaufusi but not at the expense of Collins. He is their biggest body so it doesn’t make sense to have him on the pine when the chaos and firecrackers are going off in the first 15 mins. Billy Slater has wet the bed . Bring on the dynasty. I'd like to see Provan as the next immortal and then in another 5 years or so Cameron Smith. Smith has been the clear standout of the most recent generation. I don't think Thurston, Cronk, Slater, Stuart/Alf, Daley, Fittler, Clyde... none of them are Immortal level. Loved Kenny as a player and Ster...

Re: Should the next Immortal be a Raiders player?

IMO 'Immortals' need to have broken multiple records and materially changed the game in some way over a long career to be elevated above the dozens of greats over the decades. As far as teams go, the Penrith squad of 2022-23 was one of the greatest I've seen since 2000. Only the cap cheating Storm ...

This is just recency bias talking. On average they would have had difficulty dealing with the size in old forward packs and the strong teams of the past would have strangled the life out of them in the ruck which would have murdered their game plan. The good teams would have literally wrestled them...

I'm not sure Glenn Lazarus changed the way the game was played at prop. But he was certainly an immense presence. Stuart, Belcher, Clyde and Walters definitely changed the way the game was played. They're all good calls and Belcher has somehow still missed on the Hall of Fame. And on Nathan Cleary....

I’m in general agreement over the players needing more time before being put in as an immortal And as such I don’t think anyone should go in now, I’m not thrilled with the proposed time line of immortal inductions as I think it really should be reserved for the best/most defining players of each er...
