Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
Hudson Young's lucky we've got the problems we do in the edge position, otherwise he should be facing a stint in reggies He's been very disappointing from the games ive seen We need MUCH better from him All evidence is that he doesn't have much better to give. His "bad streak of form" has...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
If you want to know how bad Danny Levi was tonight...
He's gotten 79 total votes in the POTY so far this season. 13 of those points (a staggering 16%!!) have come from one single poster... and even he couldnt bring himself to give the bloke points this week.

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
Yeah i think when Rapa is back, Chevy can drop back to cup and keep working on his game having had a good taste of FG A good discussion could be had at that point whether we're best of bringing rapa back on the wing or fullback... but i think thats a fan discussion, i dont think Savage is in conside...

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
The situation with chev isnt great but i dont think he's doing a lot wrong, granted he apparently had a shocker last week against the Broncos but im watching his debut now and it's in line with what i saw tonight... he's generally in the right spot and making the right play He's not impacting the at...

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
Disappointed in that performance from Sasagi, i had heard he was aquitting himself quite well in the last few weeks
It was a disaster tonight, EW is apparently going to be back so i guess he's in... not sure that'll solve the defensive issues though

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
Levi has been OK this year, popped up with some tries, distribution generally pretty good, We are not watching the same sport. I admittedly have not seen the last 3 weeks yet, but in the 5 weeks of football i have seen Danny Levi has been the worst starting hooker in the competition this year and i...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
Pretty measured presser from Stuart today. He's really be better on that front this year. I thought the same thing. Not sure he knows how to fix it or can fix it though. I really think this season is a write-off. No Fog, no hope. And Fog isn't even that good. But we need his kicking game. It papers...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
This thought crossed my mind today, and despite it being at the risk of a classic 'move ordinary half into dummy half' take , I wonder what others think - should Weekes consider a transition to 9? Ball playing ability isn't quite there as a first receiver, but he's an explosive baller runner who ca...

Re: 2024 Round 9 v Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
I brought it up a fortnight ago but was assured he was going great guns but is anyone else concerned about Kris? His counterpart Timoko is looking good even in well beaten sides but Seb looks anonymous most of the time. I’m not calling for his dropping or anything like that I am just wondering if t...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
Is anyone surprised? Fair dinkum look at the youth and injuries. Anyone who thinks Flegg/Cup players can slot in and we put on points against the ladder leaders and even win is delusional. This is what blooding youth en masse looks like, especially without the experience and leadership around them....

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Fans' Choice Player of the Year
2 - Timoko: Like everyone else i thought he was the one bloke who played quite well 1 - Chevy: I think criticism of him in this circumstances are off the mark, if that's what he gives us now as an 18 year old who's head is still swimming at this level, then im excited for what he can be in the futur...

Scary match up for us here, but looks like we caught a break with DCE and Olakau'atu almost certain to miss the match.
I think there is a good chance we'll see some changes here. Kind of have to after a 40-0 drubbing at home

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
We simply cannot run out next week with Levi and Starling in FG they're simply not NRL level footballers. With the spine being so young and inexperienced we can no longer afford to carry these guys. Woolford is no great shakes but he's better than these guys. Get Puru into the #14, he only needs to ...

When it's all said and done and the careers are in the books, we're going to have to have a serious chat about Glenn Buttriss's strangehold on being the least talented footballer to ever play 100 games.Mickey_Raider wrote: ↑April 28, 2024, 5:46 pm Levi is nauseatingly bad. Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
What do Hudson Young and Smithies offer? Bit harsh on Smithies. He is a toiler who is in the middle of everything, his upside is obvious to me but he can't do it alone. Hudson on the other hand is lacking in all areas. His defence is horrible, his attack has no variation, he lacks size, footwork, s...

Re: 2024 Round 8 v Sharks: Game Day
I'm loathe to go too hard on a young spine player trying to find his feet in firsts, but for a guy who's not particularly quick, agile, or large, Chevy Stewart will need to start bringing skill to the fore quickly. Being brave doesn't make you an NRL fullback. He's 18 and there is no structure for ...

Don't think I've seen an athlete in the game to date quite like Walsh His second try where he came back on to the ball straight.. the way he was able to stop on a dime, flip his hips and get straight back to explosive speed was not something you see from RL athletes He’s breathtaking to watch play....
