Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2021

One advantage of Staggs at 6 is he won't get exposed defensively as much if he's one in . Last year he was the worst defensive player a team with the worst defense. It was overlooked because he was such a weapon in attack. Other than that I can't see any reason to play him in the halves. Such a dam...

Re: What does our next rebuild look like?

I think there was some truth to this with a younger Stuart but I don't think this is the case anymore. Think about how fensom, ed Lee, bj were shown the door. We are also observing the new Stuart at the moment with many of our senior players warming the pine BJ was shown the door because he and Stu...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2021

Staggs is a good footballer and a destructive player. But I can’t see him becoming a dominant 5/8th. Certainly not in the game management skills. This is a classic junior football coach mentality... take your best player, stick him where he touches the ball most and win? Yeah best of luck with that...

Re: What does our next rebuild look like?

Well going by tonight’s drama Hodgson won’t be part of the rebuild He's 32 years old, he was never going to be part of the next era of raiders football unless it was in a coaching capacity I would strongly argue this era of raiders football was defined by him as the key driving force of the Raider ...

Re: Josh Hodgson stands down, Elliott Whitehead appointed co-captain

One win isn't going to make this all go away But it is very much a case imo of winning solving a lot of these issues... if we rattled off 3 in 4 and then 5 in 7 and start stacking wins regularly and getting out season back on track a lot of this would go away Do we have a team capable of doing that?...

Re: Josh Hodgson reportedly stood himself down as co-captain two weeks ago

It's beside the point. Whether I think he should or shouldn't have played Origin, it's utterly irrelevant to his chances. It's not a public vote. One call to the selectors over the past decade would have told him where he needed to improve. Sounds to me like YOU'RE the one missing the point here. N...

To be clear, i would not have dropped either Tapine or Papalii
I think there are other ways to get them back to their best

Now if those players felt they wanted some time off (Papalii seems to be one like this) then that's fine... but im not dropping guys like them unless its last resort

I agree with everything, but still not sold on Tapine and Paps apparently playing that poorly. I just think they've been badly coached by someone who has failed to adapt to 2021. One minute we're moving Papa to the bench because everyone else was supposedly relying on him too much. Nek minut he's d...
