Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

Sandon Smith from the chooks is a guy I'd be keen to pursue as a 9. I’d go the other Smith That contract has been a disaster for them, he’s not played very well although I thought his last few weeks before I left were solid He’d be a big bet and one that could go wrong… but it’s a bet I’d make eyes...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

I think the lure for Galvin to play alongside Cleary, Yeo, Edwards and potentially win premierships eases some of the money concerns . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The tigers will pay him near enough to a mil a year, the panthers won’t pay more than 600k He’s not sacrificing that sort of mone...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

I’d bet that’s 2+2=5 stuff

The panthers showed their hand with Laui. They’re not going to drop significant money into cleary’s partner and Galvin won’t be signing anything that isn’t significant money

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

Bot. If Jarrod Croker went to the Panthers we’d look like fools for not extending him for another year. [emoji846] You might have pressed the analogy past the breaking point there but fair otherwise :roflmao The worst case scenario is he lands with a club like that where you know his considerable t...

The club is doing a great job of locking down key talent in both top grade teams

WNRL particularly important with expansion coming

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

We’d better hope it’s a club like the dogs or tigers Because if mooney lands with the panthers or roosters he’ll almost certainly make us look like fools for letting him go I wouldn’t rule those clubs out either, they’ll look for talent to improve their team in any form it comes Fwiw I don’t think t...

Men lie Women lie Numbers don’t Statistically Danny Levi is still one of the worst defenders in the league despite boasting the lowest work rate in the league His attacking stats are non existent save for his 4 tries. 2x 1 metre barge overs and 2 tries as a support player. Re: 'We definitely 1 million per cent want to keep Trey': Raiders keen for Mooney to stay

My post wasn’t a shot at Saulo It was simply to say a player with 7 games to his name and still acclimatising to FG speed due to limited minutes in those 7 games is not going to be the same player as when he’s got nearly 2 full seasons under his belt I mean saulo himself is not the player he was whe...

Wataire looks a lively chap for me
Wouldn’t shock me if he’s a player pushing for selection in the next 18 months
If Morkos is coming back that would actually be very handy. I thought he was maybe one of the better young outside backs we had

Re: Newcastle Knights sign Canberra Raiders back James Schiller

Real shame to lose a player who is young and ascending but if you can’t keep them all I do think he is the sort of player who you’re ok with losing We’ve got young talent at the position and he’s been offered a good opportunity and good money Best of luck to him. It does change my thoughts on what w...

Yeah but I reckon Schiller’s ceiling is high. Probably higher than Asomua’s from what I’ve seen. Completely disagree Reckon Asomua’s ceiling is significantly higher More well rounded player. Trey Mooney with 50 games of first grade under his belt as Saulo has, is not going to be the player he is now with 7 to his name

Some of which were under 10 minute stints

Just watched the eels highlights of their cup win last week
Sanders really looks to be warming to the task at cup level in a bad team

Couple of TA’s in there and seemingly playing both sides of the ruck at times.

Nope, you’ve definitely got the wrong man on that one. Hoppa's defence isn't good either! Can we put this myth to bed, please? 100% Hoppa is no better a defender than Schiller and he’s not even close to the same level of weapon/finisher Schiller is Stick with the kid He doesn’t concede tries like this at cup level, which means he’s not going to go back...

I’m sure he himself was largely the same but his approach to public messaging was a complete departure from his norm in 2018- 19- 20.
And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that was our most successful period in his tenure

I honestly don’t think there is any reasonable disagreement to be had there.

Wow - they are good numbers Yeah and again just going off the stats but to hold him to only 1 tackle break and 3 offloads tells me we did about as good a job keeping him quiet as you can But that the sort of player he is. Tulagi should play centre in his spot
Kid is young but very talented which makes him 2/2 over Harper
