600-700k is a tiny bit too rich for my blood when Mahoney got in that range
But agree he'd be a good target... right age bracket, from a system where they really cant afford to match offers for that position and would instantly upgrade us at a key spot.

Settle down! Hutcho is doing a great job for the Doggies, as he is my SC team as a solid CTW/HB
Might get to 50 today on the back of 60+ last week and i dont think he did anything!

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
I think Fifita has played dominant games against a lot of high level competition. I dont think calling him a flat track bully is accurate He's as elite as it gets as an edge weapon, capable and proven at being able to single handedly take any games and drag a team kicking and screaming to wins He do...

Yes sorry, my apologies!
I misread the post and thought you said he shouldn’t be ahead of him
Still it’s going to be interesting to see what sort of numbers Guler puts up in Cup and if that impacts how Stuart has them stacked up

Re: Canberra Raiders miss out on David Fifita
I think he’d be dynamic for us and potentially push us up into the next tier in terms of where we are in competing for a premiership. And it would help our half on his side of the field to have a weapon like that who creates space and time for his halves due to the threat he poses. If a club like ou...

Regardless of what happens with Trey we will have an outstanding forward pack. I would love to keep him but also understand if he was to depart. I also think he is our 5th best front rower right now so he should be ahead of Guler and Saulo in the pecking order. Trey has put up the following the las...

He’s got contacts. He doesn’t post unless he’s got it squared away so I think we can take that at face value It certainly will be interesting to see who of Mooney or Hors comes in. Hors is a SOO rep and played excellent last week, probably offers a touch more versatility but Mooney’s last two weeks ...

Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
I’ll wager for example Schneider got points for the panthers first try Probably try contribution points. His kick was bad, it was far too short and give his team little chance to create a chance A chance was created out of it because a roosters player spilled his lollies and it by happenstance hit E...

Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
FWIW I got talked into playing SC this year again after a many many year hiatus and whilst it has improved and I’m enjoying it I think last nights game and looking at the scores is a pretty good example of the scoring still being pretty flawed.

Re: 2024 NRL Round 4: Teams and Game Day
Schneider is a better defender
I’ll give him that and stylistically they are similar players in that there is little creative ball playing on offer
But I think Fog is a significantly better player right now. He’s also much older and has much more experience.

I think the roosters late surge was more down to the panthers putting the cue in the rack
It got in any real danger, they'd have ramped it back up and won.

Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
He did what was asked of him. His passing and processing was faster so that's a good sign, but for the most part he was what he was here... still needing an early pass. The talent around him is very good and he kicked well and defended well which is really all the panthers need and want in a back up...

He’s definitely improved in his game speed but he’s mostly doing exactly as he did for us
Kick well, defend well and pass early.
They’ll survive with the talent they have with him at half

Disagree
It’s JWH’s responsibility not to impede a defender. Edwards doesn’t change his line at all, he’s running to the contest and must not be impeded
I’m perfectly fine with those being penalties

Depends on who you are and what your standing in the team is. Do you want Joe Tapine thinking he'll get demoted to NSW Cup with a few so-so performances in favour of a **** hot few weeks of Mooney? No. But Saulo and Guler should absolutely be fighting for their spots week to week to hold off the guy...

I may be wrong but I think Ricky will bring back Hoppa when his burns heal but will drop him for Schiller/Chevy/Asomua later in the season. And next year when Rapa’s spot frees up, it’ll be one of those other guys taking it. Ricky is slow. So very slow. But I think he’ll get there on this one. 100%...

On the Fifita thing itself, i dont think a club like ours can actually turn down recruiting a blue chip player like him if it's actually possible. With EW surely departing at seasons end we have a need at edge, albeit not as significant need given how well Hosking is going I am mindful that Hosking ...

Im not seeing anything in Savage that i dont think he could have provided last year. No one will know what he could or could not have done at NRL level last year because he was not given the opportunities. I doubt there's that much cash to splash, Strange, Timoko and Savage need deals by November. Need to sign Sanders too.
