Re: Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

We can ABSOLUTELY win the comp next year with CNK-Cotric-Croker-Joey-Rapana as our back five, and hot tip: that’s still our best back 5 This discussion is absolutely nuts. You people are insane Of course its our BEST back 5, though potentially in the future you swap JC-NC. The question is can we af...

In all honesty, the NRL centre who would give Croker the most grief is BJ Leilua. Ricky Stuart sorted that problem out a while ago.

Re: 2019 Rd 14 V Sharks: Game Day

Well, the referees and the NRL seem to think it was fair game. And they’re wrong. If you haven’t noticed, they’re often wrong. Every Monday they have a press conference admitting a few mistakes. But they admit every week they don’t cover every mistake either. And they're not robots.. referees aren'...

Re: Viking Clap - Mark II - Viking Row

It's a good idea. I agree it would be fun for the crowd- be a really unique and effective way to spur the team on (the sound and energy would be awesome)- and look cool on TV (a bit like a Mexican wave effect). It would work just as well in defense too to give the team a lift- the crowd urging them ...

Re: Are we premiership contenders?

I don’t think we are contenders. Wighton is still developing and unless Sezer turns a corner we don’t have the halves combo to seriously contend for the Premiership. We also lack a general who can guide us around the park and make the key plays at critical moments, most of our wins have been grindi...

5. Rapana
6. Wighton
7. Sezer

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2019

Sia was playing edge and all over 3 years ago and passed his sell by date on that well and truly. He had a renaissance when allowed to focus on the middle for a year and pre-season/shape solely for that role. He couldn't quite cut it on the edges anymore laterally. Heart says no, not yet. Need CNK to improve his ball playing and a new halfback in order to be genuine contenders, IMO. Fortunately, that isn't a pipe dream and if we can carry on defending the way we are as a unit then a premiership isn't out of reach next year. 2 genuine ball playing back rowers ...

I disagree on caring how we go in the run to the finals. As long as we can find a top four spot those games don’t count. Remember 2016? We beat Sharks and Melbourne going into finals marking ourselves as contenders and lost to both. I’m certainly not saying I’d prefer to lose them, but if the team ...

Cappy interview basically said he wasn't happy with the aggression or intent coming off the bench. Fair enough, Sia didn't have a great start or a great game (defence was ok, runs lacked a but of impact), Lui didn't manage to stem the tide either. Both made an error from memory. That's a very interesting stat. I wonder if Ricky is fed those kind of things.

He may ignore it to keep Hodgo happy, who doesn't see himself as a bench hooker and just won't wear it.

Or Ricky himself may just shrug and ignore it as too weird for him.

Campese's highs have been much higher than Jack's. The guy was pretty much the form player of the comp in his two purple patches.
