Re: Canberra Raiders prepared to let grand final centre Joey Leilua walk

Oldfield as a winger is criminally underrated by some on here Sent from my ELE-L29 using Tapatalk Agree. The guy has speed to burn and a boatload of skill. He never shy's away from tough carries. Yep. I'd be happy with 2 years of Oldfield on the wing. He has pace. We need more pace. Agreed on his c...

yikes... that team would legitimately win the spoon in the NRL
Honestly you'd look at that roster at an NRL club and think- yeah, a few names but I think we have them covered, outside backs are all plodders and no real threat or heart in the pack.

Is his brother Luciano still at Dragons? That would make it pretty attractive. In every other way it is a dire career move to a garbage fire club, coach and situation for him.

He won't go anywhere to play back up though.

If we lose Wighton, he'll be an option to consider- one loose cannon for another.

Re: Jack Wighton turns down Raiders option to go on open market for 2021

I am more concerned about his football going forward - I really hope he keeps doing the extras and adding more strings to his bow, his mid/short kicking game needs work (though it was strong in the GF). As time goes on, his style of play will wear on his body and he needs to bring more finesse/foot...

I love Jack, but considering we have George Williams coming next year, I would rather keep Sezer and BJ personally. Worth noting that the "minimum wage" is over 100k/year. That's good money to bide your time on for a year, with some sponsorships or rep bonuses/payments coming in on top as he's just made the NZ squad.

In all seriousness, if I’m his manager I want to negotiate a contract now. GF Clive Churchill winner. Perfect time to get him a rich 4-5 year deal. Doesn’t mean he has to be on $1mil in 2021, could start at $800k and finish on the million at the end. He’s still on $750k in 2020 anyway. If you read ...

Re: Worst spine in the competition

I have a theory that we rate players performance with a view that is biased by our expectations of them. Players like CNK and Hors benefit from this as expectations at the start of the year weren’t high so we are thrilled when they regularly turn out a 6.5/10 performance. On the other side players ...

Make it they can only come on in breaks of play and for injuries, that's it. Sent from my ELE-L29 using Tapatalk That would be a nice simple guideline wouldn't it. CNK will get some improvement out of his ball playing and being match fit/hardened for a full season. But he doesn't have the equipment to be a Slater/RTS/Teddy/Turbo level fullback. There were no injuries. The trainer was on the field from the start and he was on field for both the Roosters' initial sets. Williams needs to be re-signed. He’s the best back up half in the NRL. Surely if Sezer gets an offer from the Broncos or Bulldogs, he takes it even if it is a little less money. His value will drop dramatically if he spends the whole season at Mounties. I agree that Sammy is the best back up half i...

Having a top class defense should be much more sustainable than the 2016 style. The playing group would have matured a lot and would be hungry to get the job done. As dangerous as BJ can be, he's got a lot of mistakes and on-field discipline issues that come with him.
