Re: Canberra Raiders forward Ryan Sutton should be called up to Great Britain squad

Sutton shouldn't be anywhere near the squad at this point. I appreciate he's playing in a better competition, but he wouldn't be in the top ten for English props at the moment. Wow. Who's better. I think T Burgess is the dud Burgii. I didn't count O'Loughlin as he's 36 now and a lock I thought...

Re: Canberra Raiders reportedly settle three year deal for George Williams

#8 Graham #9 Hodgson #10 Thompson #11 Whitehead #12 Bateman #13 S Burgess

#14 Sutton, #15 G Burgess and a few SL players fighting it out for the last two spots.

Pretty good pack. Going to be comparable to anything the Kangaroos can throw at them.

Re: Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

We can ABSOLUTELY win the comp next year with CNK-Cotric-Croker-Joey-Rapana as our back five, and hot tip: that’s still our best back 5 This discussion is absolutely nuts. I can feel my ludicrous optimism starting to build. You know it will happen to you, too! We are this year's fairytale. Everyone else has had a go, except the Titans, and that would just be a fix. I guess I'd say yes we can and will win it all. I do actually have a reason - it's not that we are grea...

In all honesty, the NRL centre who would give Croker the most grief is BJ Leilua. Ricky Stuart sorted that problem out a while ago.

Well, the referees and the NRL seem to think it was fair game. And they’re wrong. If you haven’t noticed, they’re often wrong. Every Monday they have a press conference admitting a few mistakes. But they admit every week they don’t cover every mistake either. And they're not robots.. referees aren'...

It's a good idea. I agree it would be fun for the crowd- be a really unique and effective way to spur the team on (the sound and energy would be awesome)- and look cool on TV (a bit like a Mexican wave effect). It would work just as well in defense too to give the team a lift- the crowd urging them ...

Re: Are we premiership contenders?

I don’t think we are contenders. Wighton is still developing and unless Sezer turns a corner we don’t have the halves combo to seriously contend for the Premiership. We also lack a general who can guide us around the park and make the key plays at critical moments, most of our wins have been grindi...

Sia was playing edge and all over 3 years ago and passed his sell by date on that well and truly. Heart says no, not yet. Need CNK to improve his ball playing and a new halfback in order to be genuine contenders, IMO. Fortunately, that isn't a pipe dream and if we can carry on defending the way we are as a unit then a premiership isn't out of reach next year. 2 genuine ball playing back rowers ...

I disagree on caring how we go in the run to the finals. As long as we can find a top four spot those games don’t count. Remember 2016? Cappy interview basically said he wasn't happy with the aggression or intent coming off the bench. That's a very interesting stat. I wonder if Ricky is fed those kind of things.

He may ignore it to keep Hodgo happy, who doesn't see himself as a bench hooker and just won't wear it.

Or Ricky himself may just shrug and ignore it as too weird for him.
