Re: The Cricket Thread

I’m concerned about the next 3-5 years for our ageing Test side. Our last test 11 v NZ had only one player under the age of 30 (Cameron Green). Khawaja, Smith, Lyon Starc, Hazlewood all due to finish up soon I reckon. Even Labuschagne, Head and MMarsh are over 30. Cummins is 31 and has plenty of mi...

Re: NFL Thread

Time to pack the season in.

Defense has been out too long.

OL doesn't like short yardage. Would prefer to get a penalty for long.

CD has a shoulder issue.

Daks pulled a hammy. His hand is swollen too.

Argh

Re: NFL Thread

I think Cowboys have back to back Rd1 duds. Mazi Smith is a fraud, the old "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane", springs to mind. Guyton is outta his depth. I can't decide if he's just not ready, or if hes no good. Clearly strong enough. Will have a few good plays, then a disaster. There a...

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

KPP was hugely disappointing for me For a guy billed as “the English SBW” there was not a lot of spark about his game Not a line break threat, not a ball player, not a threatening line runner, and for a bloke with his frame the lack of offloading was concerning Decent defender Could he take a step ...

I didn't expect to win.

But looks to me like we outplayed them for 3 of 4 quarters. HOWEVER... we sucked so bad I 1 quarter that we lost.

I see Dak threw 2 more picks too... good times ... argh.

Re: The Cricket Thread

It's dire, sure, but i wouldn't go back to Warner. I loved him as a player, but his days at the top level are done. His form slipped massively and its unlikely to ever return. Uzi and Smith might be going the same way. Father time is undefeated and unfortunately cricket, esp batting, is a reaction s...

Green’s surgery might be a blessing in disguise if the selectors make the right moves. Those would be?  Reminds me of Homer's foray into the land of chocolate when trying to sell his experience to the new German owners. Haha I left it purposely ambiguous. I think they need to select a ge...

Fully fit, i have Tino first Right now, with Tino hurt, I'd be bloody tempted to go JFH first tbh I think what he brings on both sides of the ball is something very special. Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2024

Why would the Raiders want to sign a 30 year old fullback, past his "prime", who is being released early by the Eels? We've got to stop looking for short cuts, cast offs from other clubs are not the answer. Short cuts go to nowhere. Correct! I shouldn’t be shocked, but the fact anyone is ...

My only complaint would be when he feels he was wronged in a tackle he just stands there having a whinge to the ref instead of getting a quick play the ball. As captain he needs to get that out of is game. 100% Absolutely ridiculous to behave that way as a leader of this team and it has to be inexc...

I assume most of those try assists are from his boot The issue is what to do when neither him or Strange are assistors with their passing. Fog a dinner suit kicking half, and Strange a running half.
