Re: The Cricket Thread

I tell u, Kohli might be an exceptional player, BUT... man he has had some luck in this inning. He has played and missed sooooo many today. He also let half a dozen go, that he probably shouldn't have, only to see them beat the stumps by a coat of paint.

Re: Raiders lead the league in metres gained per offload

This might be the least surprising stat of all time. Even in games we got belted in, it felt like 2-3 times a game Raps and Beej would march down the field on a few plays where they got out of hooker, engaged defenders and offloaded to each other for huge gains. I dont know about least surprising, ...

I still like our position. Kohli might be 40, but he is playing and missing at every 2nd delivery.

I still think we are in front. Our bowling has been top class.

Not sure we even have a good score. Hard to get a read on the pitch. Lyon should open the batting
We got 326.
They are 2/14*.

Id say we are well on top.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Interesting stat. AUS have not posted a 300+ score in the last 12 innings. I think we may achieve that today..maybe..we'll see..I hope anyway I heard that this morning too. Should Paine fail to win this Test, he will be the 1st Aussie Test captain to not win a game 5 games on the trot (could be 1st...

Re: The Cricket Thread

Day 1 and Australia off to a good start by the openers and then to finish on 6-277 was a positive for the team. The wicket is producing some unusual outcomes with some balls running along the ground and others spitting up at the batsman. Those brought up on the flat tracks of one day and T20 cricke...

Not a bad score at the end of the day, though.
I agree GE.
Id like to be 1 or 2 less wickets down. Head, Handscomb and Khawaja played awful shots.

Yeah our senior players just aren't standing up. This is a 400+ wicket. We don't have anywhere near enough yet No way is this a 400 wicket. The ball moves when new. A loooong way too. The biggest change in junior club cricket in the last 3 years has been an introduction of retiring after a certain number of balls faces rather than runs. I don’t like it tbh.
