Your utter inability to recognise the strengths, any strengths of Sezer is one of the great features of the Greenhouse in 2019. For what it is worth, in my opinion that inability completely clouds the validity of all your other judgements on the game.
But, be that as it may, have a happy New Year.

V'Landys holds the key to who makes the top four next year. Last yera Annesley started the season by declaring that in season 2019 we would be playing under Ch9 rules, ie no sendoffs, minimal sinbinnings and minimal penalties. Thus the defencibly most cynical teams made the top four, the most cynica...

My mate within the Raiders camp reckons that HSS is the most professional player he has ever seen come through the Raiders. He says he doesn't know precisely what Cronk went through pre game, but he doubts it was any more focussed than the way HSS prepares. He reckons the guy is totally obsessed wit...

This thread has more points to it tan a garden rake, most of them being off topic, but I'll add a point to make things worse. Before the Raiders came into being I used to follow the Dragons. I well remember their days when Langlands was their Smith, Billy Smith was their Cronk and on it went. In the...

I just can't accept the argument that "once were great, forever great". Nobody in their right mind denies the greatness that Smith has achieved, nor that of the Storm, the greatest team of the last decade and a half. But to extrapolate that out to them remaining great in perpetuity is wrong. Both St...

Re: Canberra Raiders close in on major signing coup with Melbourne Storm centre Curtis Scott

I'm with Matt and B&M, Smith is still a top class player and an even better leader except he is becoming a Cranky Old Man. The refs are sick of him, the Tele is declaring jihad on him and I think he is a little offside with a few of the younger players. His end will be brutish and nasty. Munster is ...

Normally the whingeing is done by disgruntled fans, but, as shown by the ratio of supporters present at the GF, Easts don't have many and so Robinson had to step up and take their place. The "salary cap" allows them to buy a premiership, but supporters have to be won, not bought.

Tapine’s an average defender everywhere. His contact is poor. Something that definitely needs work. Playing him in the middle just happens to weaken his attack as well. I couldnt disagree more strongly, I think he is an excellent front on defender, well into the top rank. It is why I would leave hi...

Good thread this - interesting read. I think a case can be made for the NRL introducing custom salary caps for some clubs. The AFL have a higher cap for the 2 Sydney teams based on the higher cost of living in Sydney as opposed to Melbourne. Perhaps a system where a clubs salary cap is somehow alig...

The strange (to me, at least) point about the "6 again" incident is the absolute lack of mention of the role that Sutton played in the whole fiasco. He absolutely browbeat Cummins into changing his call, an action he would have absolutely known was illegal under the laws of the game.
