Seeing Furner might be tabbed to take over as the interim If so it's a good chance for him to work with the likes of Jacky, Cody, Cooky, Koloamatangy and Latrelly The question is which one of them he'll be on the verge of having a scrap with by season end. Seems to happen everywhere he goes, and pl...

Does anyone know much about Mitch Henderson? Is he earmarked to be a hooker? There MUST be some plan in place. There is no **** way we have gone into 2024 with Levi being the plan. After the disaster on Sunday, I hope we never see him in green again. I know Stuart took a similar stance after Semi’s...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

Who would you give them then? They won't be chasing our contractual liabilities like Levi and Hoppa. I don't see why they'd have a short term need for Cotric, but even if they did they'd have to squeeze his half-year salary in. Having a competent back up half is way more valuable than any of those p...

Re: Eels half Ethan Sanders agrees to terms with Raiders for three year deal from 2025

we should try and get him early. Get him into our system. Give him a few games in the top grade. Parra can have Hoppa, Cotric or Levi or all 3 to make it happen If we came asking for an early release and I was Parra I'd say give us Mariota or Savage and we can talk. We'd rightfully baulk at that an...

Sanders looked really promising in this one. While he was very much the secondary half he never looked rushed or rattled which is a real rarity for a half in their first handful of matches. Seems to have good distance on his boot. When his combination with Strange does get a run it'll be interesting...

In 2026, Strange, Sanders and Chevy will still only be 21 years old. I’d like to think we’d be up towards the top of the table but they’ll still be very young for spine players and I think having the premiership cut-off date that soon is unreasonable. Strange could have 40-50 games under his belt b...

A great signing for the future. Certainly buys another five years for the coach. And it shows in his laidback approach this year. The last two seasons he has looked like a coach under pressure. Particularly 2022 where he looked a dead man walking until Savage and Woolford came into the side and sav...

Re: Hooker for 2025 and future years

I think Starling has more versatility to his game than Woolford. At least the coaches appear to think that way. Starling can fill in at middle, can sub in the halves in a pinch, and is quick from dummy half. Shame is, he's not particularly good at any of them. I think this role should go to Puru. A...

Agree with both your posts Bluesbrother and Rickmando. Any experience he can gain this year will be a benefit but there is that aspect to manage with spine players. Not all gametime is of equal value if you aren't seeing some nuance being added.

For a team that's supposedly leaned into its attack this year, we have shown absolutely nothing with the ball I thought it was pretty clear last weekend that the Eels attack was an abberation.
