Re: Canberra Raiders reportedly settle three year deal for George Williams

The Titans sucked before Sezer played for them. They sucked while he played for them. They sucked after he left them. They still suck now. and they won't stop sucking Not while they throw big $$ at blokes like Shannon Boyd Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk We're the club that moved on Vaughan and...

Re: Are we premiership contenders?

If you're top 4 you are a great chance. The Storm are the most consistent team over the past 5 years by a long way yet they have only won one premiership. It's all about momentum at the back end of the season these days rather than who is the most consistent side. I also don't think you can have the...

They had this in the Mt Smart memorabilia area for the NZ vs Tonga test. I hope they have it under high 24/7 security.

Wighton has looked very good with every touch but would love to see him move involved.
Seems to be very little trust in him. Similar to Campo's Origin game - whenever someone from NSW looks up and sees him in support they take the tackle.

I just hope Campeasy makes the 17.

Re: Jarrod Croker

^Yeah, but that's not because Chambers is owning Croker, it's because the Storm are owning everyone else. And because Referee Smith is on the field. Don't remind me of the injustice that is walking turnstile Michael Jennings playing Origin while Croker doesn't get a run "because of his defence". If...

Are we actually arguing that Michael Jennings is still a better centre than Jarrod Croker. **** me I have no idea what games some people are watching. I think Jennings has been back in some really good form this year. Considering attack and defense this season I'd give him the edge. Marsters I'm probably wrong. He has been great for the Kiwis but he never hits those highs for the Tigers consistently. Hopoate I'm happy for those who watch more Bull...

I guess Jack being picked at centre for NSW blows away the conspiracy theory there is some sort of bias against the Raiders keeping Croker out of Origin. Re: Canberra Raiders open Jordan Rapana contract talks ahead of his injury return

It's still unclear when BJ will be back and how the injury will impact him. I think he will be eased back in and then I suppose Cotric returns to the wing until one of the three leaves at the end of 2020. Croker would be 31 at that point so most likely to leave of the 3 from a practical view point....

I thought also in his last season he was with us he ran the ball more and appeared to be coming back into form, culminating in that game against the dogs where he singled handedly won it for us. Havili was not a serious suggestion - I was just trying to point out there is more to halves play than just defence. Pigrick actually addressed Sezer being a poor kicker in general play so I am taking that as a win

Re: Williams or Sezer?

We are winning on defense. Sezer is a better defender hands down. Ergo, Sezer is a better fit for halfback. That's bizarre argument? Incidentally, I think Jack's move into the defensive line at five-eighth has played a massive part in our defensive improvement this year. It is if you bury your head...

Re: Williams or Sezer?

I don't think anyone is arguing their individual defense is close. The point is what influence their individual defensive gap has on team defence, and whether factors like not getting to our 5th tackle options regularly negate that improved individual defence. In saying that Sezer has a superior run...

Re: Williams or Sezer?

I beg to differ. There is a right answer, and it's based on the best fit to our brand of winning footy. The way we're winning at the moment is based on defence. Pure and simple. We are sliding well, we are turning up on the inside, we are coming up and in when it merits (and sometimes when it doesn...

There are no right or wrong answers to this debate. Hence the 29 pages. We haven't had teams roll over us for long periods with Williams in the team as they did last night and often in 17 and 18. If you call that a good game it's a sure sign you have no objectivity. He went missing in the second half other than the repeat set.
