Re: Family ties CNK to New Zealand, but that won't take him back to Warriors

The final quote in the article is pretty gold. He knows going back to the Warriors he isn't going to be in a position to play in the games that matter.

A long time since we've been the positive in a statement like that.

Great news. I rate him the cream of the crop when it comes to our young forwards. The bigger the stage in 2019 the better he went.

Seems to have a good head on his shoulders too.

It's less than a year since he signed a 4-year deal so I don't think Sticky's too nervous.

Or are we back to Don Jr makes all player contract decisions on that eternal merry go round?

Pretty obvious Croker is firmly in the good books. The only hard decision I can see being made is Croker having his final couple of seasons as a Hazem type winger.

Re: Jarrod Croker to miss start of 2021 season after shoulder surgery

This is a pivitol year for Croker. His play FINALLY caught up with the criticism last year, and it's only going to intensify if he cant perform at his best. He has to come back 100% and show he's got some juice left in him. A very cold and tough decision looms if his 2021 is more of 2020, rather th...

CHN - disappointing. He struggled on the field in 2020 and now these types of shenanigans won't endear him any further. He's blessed if he gets that starting second rower spot. Yep disappointing. The funny thing about this stat (which shows how irrelevant it is) is the last season we were on top of the table we ended with our worst finish since 1982.

@greeneyed, Surprised you left Young off this list. He looked very good there this yr. So if Tapine is a lock fo...

Re: Jarrod Croker to miss start of 2021 season after shoulder surgery

McCrones issue wasn't that he couldn't set up a try- it's that he was just 100 miles an hour redlining every play. So he made his fair share of tries but made or created just as many errors too. Never really seemed able to settle or run the side or pick apart a team by building up to the right play...

I think thats the right deal. He's probably in our top 13 to start the year, but if im being perfectly honest, ideally for me, he's not. For me, i'd like to see Semi take another step and cement his place in the line up and clean up some of the rookie issues he had, and i'd like to see Simmo or one...

Yet another off field distraction for Scott in the pre-season. I understand the reasons, but from a football performance point of view, I do not see this as a positive for the Raiders. He was distracted at the Storm. He has been distracted at the Raiders. Hopefully it does not drag on. He was distr...

Funny to think a player like Billy Tupou earned so much more of a consistent opportunity than Oldfield ever managed. He managed 53 games over his first three years at the Warriors.

I was really impressed with the exponential growth of Semi. We had to watch him learn the game at the highest level. He was raw, came straight from u20s, and we saw that. But in 10 games, he went from nervous rookie, to 1 hand on a starting jersey for 2021. If like so many Fijian youngsters, he put...

Worst signing in the outside backs since Odell Manuel , possibly even Craig Frawley. Odell Manuel was a better performer than Scott IMO. I'd have Scott in the Anthony Swann category. So still above Frawley. Fair enough. Yup Frawley is still the benchmark in worst signing in club history, expecially...
