Re: Newcastle Knights sign Canberra Raiders back James Schiller
Not upset really. Defence is a major issue for him ATM. He might get better but who knows... I prefer both Hoppa and Cotric defensively.
In any case there are probably a few quick guys coming through or we might find another one elsewhere.

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
For context, Robina stadium is a fairly simple rectangle with fairly standard stands and coverage over the seating. I was in the top tier half way to the back and the view was excellent. I felt close to the play, with a commanding views over the field. It was stormy weather and no one felt any wind ...

Re: A new Canberra Stadium
Well I was at CBUS Robina last night for the Titans/dragons game, and I have to say it puts into stark contrast just how bad GIO stadium in Canberra is.
It really makes you understand just how much of a **** the local govt doesn't give.

Could be a depth player. Based on the forum guidelines this bloke is an NRL plodder. Worst thing to happen here is Stuart picking him at 6 or 1 and persisting with him while he sucks, and we go on a 12 week losing streak. Which is entirely possible. I'll just remind everyone that Michael Maguire is our defensive coach, and therein lies much of the problem.
And further remind anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about to watch Tales from Tiger Town to see why this is relevant.

You're arguing over the wrong thing. The issue isnt Hoppa or Cotric. Its that Kris and Croker are bog average. IMHO Cotric needs to be a centre; Croker needs to retire and Kris can go back to NSW Cup. And thats not even the issue... The real issue is that we have no attack because a) Savage isnt in ...

Re: Canberra Raiders express interest in signing Ben Hunt?
You end up with an elite squad of players who sign one year contracts at each team in turn so each team wins a premiership once every 17 years but the same players win a premiership every year, and collect all the salary. The remaining players just watch on as the elite squad basically waltz through...

Ricky ruining Savage’s raiders career just to spite us Remember when he said TPJ wasn’t a first grader? Yes Madge is our defence coach, as I understand it. It is no surprise to me at all that this coincides with our poor attitude in defence. Its clear Madge does not get through to the players. Go and have a look at that 4 part doco about the tigers when he was coach. You can see the body language. It ...

I haven’t read this thread yet, but there’s no way that should’ve been a penalty try as far as I’m concerned. Absolutely ridiculous decision on the heels of the disallowed try following the falcon. 100%. Mariota times that tackle a fraction of a second later, Perham is still well short. https://sco...

Stuart, Furner, Henry, Meninga, Elliott.... Not a single coach we've had here has escaped calls for their sacking.... That was embarrassing today. Penrith hardly got out of 2nd gear yet still put 50 on us. We need a reset. Last year's run to the finals papered over a lot of cracks. In that run was two flukey wins v Newcastle and one at home v St George Rapana needs to go. Great player for us for a long time, but h...

I just came on here to comment about Cotric. I know it seems a lot of people think he is not that great. What I have observed is that cotric is a rep quality strong and aggressive winger on the right edge that is not seeing enough ball. Raiders play to the left 99.9% of the time so Cotric never gets...
