Something we could have expected from the more prominent props in our team but didn't get.

Re: 2018 in review - Aidan Sezer

If we can stick with a regular pairing in the halves, with Sezer at 5/8, he should have a better year in 2018. With a stable pair of halves in 2018 we should atleast see if Sezer is any good.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018

Problem is Mann would be overpaid for what he offers. Unless there is a player like TPJ who would genuinely add wins I'd rather we just pad the squad out with minimum wagers and juniors and target players for 2020. Kindof agree here. Mann strikes me as a player who seems decent enough, but unable t...

I think he's brilliant. With a good 5/8 inside him, I think the defensive issues will improve in 2019.
If he maintains a positive attitude in 2019 he will again he one of my favourites. I dont care what the whingers say.

Re: Ryley Jacks linked to Canberra Raiders

It will be williams/Sezer with Jacks/Hingano at Mounties keeping pressure on for first grade spots. Atleast thats the logical setup. Pre-season training, injuries and form ongoing would change that. Im sure Jacks and Hingano would be well prepared for that setup and likely they know they will have t...

Re: Ryley Jacks linked to Canberra Raiders

And it would make perfect sense for 3 other NRL teams to set a limit on wage or contract length for a player who has limited first grade experience at 26 Yrs Old. Just as it makes perfect sense for the Raiders to be the only team willing to meet player demands, and pay over what other teams are wil...

Re: Canberra Raiders linked to Sydney Roosters Ryan Matterson

500k? **** if thats what his market is, ill take my chances elsewhere. Yeah I don’t think he’d be commanding that much at all. He’d be on next to minimum wage at Easts currently and most teams are pretty set for second rowers. Souths are the obvious suitors but I doubt they’d be offering anywhere n...

Re: Canberra Raiders linked to Sydney Roosters Ryan Matterson

I dont see why we need to recruit any more forwards other than for depth, and I dont know if even that is required. If a great half was to become available that would be nice, but we beat the roosters and souths after our season was over, with Williams and Austin in the halves. Im not saying William...

Re: Preparing for 2019

Perhaps with Sezer injured Havilli is still in as backup for Hodgson, and with Guler getting a try out, there's no room for Knight. Not overly analytical from myself, but with Knight, Guler, Murchie, Bateman (the English one) and Sutton coming in to fill spots vacated by Paulo and Boyd, Im more conf...

Kinda hard to understand why Bennett seems to be so concerned about possibly being sacked by the Broncos when he could easily walk into the head coaching job at most NRL clubs. Maybe not the supercoach he used to be but an upgrade on probably half the coaches in the NRL.

The guy is a current English international. The transfer fee does not count towards the cap. Surely better value than Boyd or Paulo. We have never really been able to sign Aussie marquee players to any great extent. These signings (Whitehead, Sutton, Hodgo, Bateman) I liken to our recruitment of QLD...

I still think Ricky sitting on the sideline contributes to the poor defence. He can't possibly see where the problems are in defence & take timely action to correct them. Like others I cannot see why players who wont be here next year are picked. It's not like they are match-winners, far from it! x...
