Re: The Politics Thread 2021

we just happen to be small enough that China can flex their muscles and suspend all trade with us without it doing much to their economy yet it’s brutal for ours. Is it? Certainly troubling for individual businesses, but from what I recall at the time a lot of our exports were being picked up elsew...

Are there any actual restrictions of movement associated with the Sydney COVID thing at the moment?

As far as I saw earlier, anybody can go anywhere, but there's just a whole lot of ancillary rules to do with masks, maximum gathering sizes, and the like.

Re: Coronavirus

I wouldn't be worried about a massive AZ stockpile. If the government can't get Australians to take it, there's plenty of other counties that will jump at the chance to buy it from us or receive it as a humanitarian gift. It's a risk decision at the end of the day. COVID effectively doesn't exist in...

Maybe live I missed who was really at fault, though I swear I saw the Rabbits score down Simonsson's wing twice in the second half, then he got moved to the second side and they scored over there, too (with a limping Kris, admittedly).

Bit annoyed by the viking clap taunt. You expect low-class out of that area, though it wouldn't be nearly so aggravating if they didn't put themselves so firmly in the driver's seat through foul play. CNK gets HIA'd by an illegal high shot, completely disrupting us, and the bogans think the situatio...

Gotta admit, as much as I'm pro-vaccine, was feeling a bit sketchy on AstraZenica before they pulled it for under-50s. The odds are absurdly low, but if that vaccine is going to kill 1 per 750,000, you can't help but think "what if I'm that one? The odds of somebody my age getting killed by COV...

You'll be pleased to know that you have defeated my adblock software by going low-tech.

It's not often I permit an ad to grace my browser. I respect the low-tech bypass (and the sponsor themselves) to the extent that I won't remove it. Bravo.

My view is that if you're paying more than $20-$30 a month for your phone plan (excluding handset repayments), you're probably getting ripped off big time and could save yourself a ton by switching to another provider (voracious data fiends excluded).
