Very good ep of Face to Face. Generally find them a bit boring so don’t often watch, but Fog’s honesty and backstory made it so compelling

Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Maybe Stick, in not picking Xavier, is just sick of clenching his cheeks every time his fullback has the ball in his own half (and the inevitability of him being driven back 10 metres or over the sideline or losing the ball. Or all 3 in the one play )

Re: Coaching issues
The moronic dribble on here is very amusing after our coaches continually demonstrate the ability to adapt, change and win. We have made the finals 3 of the last 4 seasons, won 5 in a row and still some people aren't happy. Its widely agreed that we are a club that doesn't/struggles to attract star...

Re: Don Furner says John Bateman has permission to have negotiations with other clubs
I don’t think he’s worth a big upgrade for his play alone. But he def instills that ultra competitive never say die attitude in the squad. In the Melbourne semi last year he was the one going around revving the other players up in the last 10 mins when it seemed it had slipped from our hands... it’s...

He’s tweeted saying Raiders feeling salary cap pinch next year and can’t offer him anything from 2022 on because of cap pressure. Which is why he’s got permission to negotiate with others and has been

Yeah, Hooper’s an idiot but if anyone srsly thinks there’s no smoke here without fire they’re kidding themselves. JB has form with this sort of thing and I wouldn’t at all be surprised if he’s playing both sides. He was very intentional with what he said in GF week, and he’s being very careful now w...

Re: Would you like to see the Canberra Raiders return to their original logo?
Old logo for me. It’s outdated but has an emotional resonance. I’ve always hated this new logo - and resist buy merch other than jerseys because of it. That shade of green is awful (we’re a lime green team). Just looks too polished. I think the best logos in the comp are the old school, simple types...

Everyone bitching about taking the 2 ... it’s a clear fact that teams down to 12 or 11 men having been out scoring their opp in the NRL this year. Drawing equal was the clear sensible choice

His running game has been there all year. Was never an issue. He hasn’t run into the line hit-up style though as he did twice on the weekend. Re: Is Boyd on the way out?
Apparently we’ve offered Boyd $550k (Paul Kent who is reasonably connected to Stick). It seems we should, but literally can’t, offer the $50k to $100k more that would keep him from the Titans. Stick’s gone out there with a Wayne Bennett PR strategy in his presser the other day and oversold it. We’ve...

2018 Rd 10 V Sharks: Teams and Previews
I though it sounded pretty obvious from Austin interview that the reason he hasn’t accepted the contract offers is because he didn’t enjoy being in the team. He inferred his Mrs would’ve preferred he take the big dollars offered, but he didn’t want to have a crap working environment (“it’s about how...

Re: TPA changes to hurt Raiders even more?
I think it can only help us compared to the current system. From all reports we have deep pockets from leagues clubs profits. So all that needs to happen as someone said already is to get sponsors to re-divert $1.5 of current sponsorship to TPAs, and we use league club money to plug the sponsorship ...

Re: Raiders Scouting Thread
Great post Matt. Unfortunately it really shows the limited options we’re faced with for new halves (partic vs the options that were around last year with the new EA). If Sezer doesn’t want to stay and we can’t land Norman to replace him, we are in a bit of trouble. My view is we make it Sezer’s team...

I’m assuming this is actually a PR message to other clubs and sets of fans, not the raiders fans because what solace does that give? Anyone who says he wasn’t deserving of the medal last year and saying Cotric was instead, didn’t watch much footy last year. Paulo was dominant for us in the first half of the season. We should be trying to lock Sezer in and making it his team, and move Austin on. For defensive reasons alone if nothing else. Sezer will blossom being in charge. With Hosgo back we don’t need anyone else creative - so a running 5/8 who can tackle. Jack to 5/8 maybe even and recruit a fullback Sent f...

If Austo’s seeing 15 mins max at hooker as a no. 14, what’s he doing the rest of the time? Bench warming? There’s no need to swap halves unnecessarily or swap a back. He is a BAD defender. Far too many arm grabs and not using his shoulder. The Dogs game last year springs to mind. He was awful. Had nothing to do with poor reads. Srsly guys? The more people talking about the raiders the better. Who cares about attribution. Re: Raiders rule out Joey Leilua release to Titans
We can't get the money we need from releasing Baptiste. The board rejected Carney which put an end to the possibility of Sezer shifting to the Dogs. BJ is realistically the only player left we can release without leaving a gaping hole in the squad. I think it has got bugger all to do with BJ's atti...
