Re: NRL may scrap National Youth Competition
It is an easy fix. You get the NRL funding theU16 and U18 and U20 Rep competitions. They are based on state and area, maybe even schools. Not the clubs. Play for a few weeks then players go back to their local comps. Funding also gets granted to increase development officers, coach training and othe...

To many changes to really consider whether they'll be effective. The usual suspects letting us down, with a few overrated players that hold us back with a lack of impact still being touted as first grade standard. Round 3 and there is already so much wrong with this team. Unfortuntely with injuries ...

Re: 2015 Rd 1 V Sharks: Teams and Previews
There is a big chance by half way through the year we could be sitting pretty in the top 4, look at parra last year, with a roster that really wasn't anything special they were in the top 4 for chunks of the season. Anything is possible. I rate our current roster better than the eels roster in 2014...

Sticky disappointed with our errors and number of penalties given away. They sure put us on the back foot. When the Roosters last won the comp they did so off the back of a large penalty count against them match after match. They had such confidence in their defence, they didn't care. They delivere...

Doing it for free or not, an NFL team would rather pay top dollar for someone with ability and years of experience and knowledge over a run of the mill Aussie kid with an ego, no past experience whose willing to do it for free. And rightly so. My bet is, he will not make the cut. He will be a publi...

Re: Jarryd Hayne quits NRL for NFL trial
I think it's obvious that hayne doesn't so much want money, as security. He knows he will take development and time. He wants to know he has a chance of making a squad, whether practice or proper, Nd he'll sign with the team that he thinks he has the most chance to succeed with. I reckon all he has ...

I like the idea of Vaughn playing like James Graham, put him on the edge a little to feed a short ball to papalii, Cornish or Austin outside and Jack on his inside. Could wreak havoc.

I think I'm getting to the point where this match has to be dropped; have a community based activity, maybe involving NSW and Q Cup players (not NRL contracted players). Great player, but will never quite be an elite origin player.
Still though, happy to have a solid kid who should get 5 years of peak play once we finally have a halfback that can set him up.
