Re: Curtis Scott police assault charges dropped after court rules arrest 'unlawful'

I said this way back in Jan/Feb when this was all going down but some people have way too much blind faith in police. Yes, some cops are good people... but this is typical behaviour from NSW police when they think nobody is watching. I've seen some absolutely horrific arrests in Sydney on people wh...

Two things certain in life.

2. Raiders fans are weird.
3. Milk Jerseys would be the must have item of the century.
4. I love Toots.

The idea that leadership is a assigned role is asinine. There is nothing stopping any player from holding his teammate accountable. You dont need a title to be a leader. The Starling situation seems remarkably similar to the Grant situation at the Storm. If Tom has the smarts, he will sit in the background learning his craft and be groomed as a ready to go first grade footballer. The remarkable thing about the Storm is that Smith has maintained his status as a great...

For me, there are a few - and only a few. John Ferguson. Ken Nagas. I don't intend to disrespect the other indigenous people that have played for the Raiders, but deliberately limit the list to the only players who I feel satisfy the enjoyments I found in watching the special talents of indigenous p...

Sutton Bakery probably thinks so. The dude looks like he loves a pie. I would probably put Papalii as the most influential in big moments and games. Hodgson as a playmaker. Wiki for pure emotion. Whitehead for me is the best "general player across 80 minutes" that we've had for decades. How he isn't...

I really don't get the attraction for the Smith-Shields kid. He was the one that played in the 9's and did next to nothing? He doesn't look big enough - and in this day and age I'd much rather a tall bulky lad on the wings. Mind you his profile says he's 6"1 and 95kg...which almost sounds like Croke...

As far as I understand, this thread has covered three topics - somewhat related but all mostly dribble. 1. Cotric got a really good offer to be a winger at Canberra and made other choices. We didn't lose "a junior we developed" - we offered him what he was worth, and another club offered him stupid ...

It's a good result.

Cotric is very replaceable. He made a choice not to be loyal to his club, and the club returned the favour.

Very disappointing, hate to lose a local Canberra junior. The Raiders are doing the right thing, making sure that we don't tie up too much cash in positions like wing or centre these days. Great news.

Was very worried about the amount of cash and time being offered where I'm very certain he hasn't improved since he entered first grade.

A bit one dimensional and too big a contract for what he was bringing to the team..

Return the club the transfer money, pay back your 2020 salary and leave now. Raiders should not be supporting any rehab and he should consider his career here over.

We do have most of the core of the side locked up beyond 2021. It's mainly fringe players or expected retirements off contract before then. You're a good kid, John. But you've had one good season.

We've got a good culture, and if you're going to jeapordise that - you can let the door hit you on the way out.
