Re: Canberra Raiders hooker Tom Starling charged with assaulting police

Given the state that starling was left in I wonder if the police have no choice but to pursue charges against him. Can you imagine if they admitted that charges should be dropped after what they did to him. I'd suggest the police who were involved would be desperate to see charges laid so as to keep...

Re: Your predicted Canberra Raiders team for next year?

I'd like to see Sticky take advantage of our forward depth and rotate the guys throughout the season. Gives everybody a decent shot at it and will help keep players fresh for the back end of the season. Ive stated elsewhere that this is what i reckon stick will do. Rotate our middles, until ~ round...

Re: CNK

For the record my theory is that stuart will rotate players mid season to freshen up our first 17 and also give others some experience. That way the boys should be fit and firing come September Fingers crossed we’re not hovering around mid-bottom of the ladder while he tries this rotation policy! I...

Gee whiz mate.. what a random theory. I have no inside intel but the way he puts in for the club tells me he loves the joint. The stockpiling of fbs is exactly what we needed. Last year when he was injured/rested we had players playing out of position to cover him. Thats not ideal and frankly the cl...

His ball handling and low percentage options kill me at times, but jordie would have to be one of my all time favourite raiders player... no one can question his committment to our club and its cause of blokes like him that the club is in the strong position it is today. Needless to say, im very ple...

Re: Raiders coach Ricky Stuart praises new NRL rule changes

I love the 6 again rule. Stops teams from deliberately conceding a penalty when they are on the back foot. That said the points you make about lack of transparency are valid and there is no reason why they couldnt report on stats and reasons for being awarded. The fact is that teams like the storm a...

Re: Raiders coach Ricky Stuart praises new NRL rule changes

Not a fan of the 2pt foeld goal. I think it can have an absolutely terrible effect on the game cause now, whereas there was often lots of second phase play when a game was close at the death it will now end abruptly, with a failed missed field goal. That said i reckon all other rule changes are spot...

Will wait for the facts to emerge, but based on the scott episode i cannot help but feel that starling may be the victim here. Based on how the scott matter was handled, its obvious there are clear issues which the police need to face into. Unfortunately it seems that they are complete denial. What ...

The Dogs would be dirty that they rushed into buying Flanagan and now a far superior player that they really need is available imo. could still pair Flanagan with Widdop, then whenever Burton arrives play him at fullback Surely youd play widdop at full back before burton. Injury is the obvious concern with him. Like you, i reckon if he can stay fit, weve pulled off an exceptional signing. Think of the pressure youd be under being captain of the titans. He'd feel like a new bloke at the moment

I’m all for Hopoate. Has had huge wraps and would be bargain basement. the wraps were before he did his acl twice. Came back and looks slower than his brother. You never know GE.
