On Fensom;

If true (sounds very speculative) it's not a bad thing.

He is FG quality and deserves to be playing 80.

We are in an amazing position where he is no longer in our best 17. You can't keep guys like him on as depth, it's not fair to him.

Positive for the club is it sounds mutual, he could be a bum and sit in Mounties on massive coin doing us no good or he could choose to do the best for both parties, find himself a permanent week in week out 80m gig and leave on great terms.

Does not sound like we are shopping him around. Just being honest and saying you are #18 at the Raiders. Welcome to stay and be an amazing back up but we will not stand in your way if you want to explore your options and play footy.

Either way the guy is a legend and would always be welcome.

Probably one of the safer guesses as far as making up rumours goes.

If he does go then I would hope we have some plan for maintaining our depth at it's current level. No use letting all your depth go just to do players a favour.

He's obviously on starters money and is no longer guaranteed a spot in our 17, We have the likes of Bateman, Baptiste off contract this year and the likes of Rapana, Whitehead, Vaughan off contract in 12 months time, if this helps us retain a couple of these guys then its a no brainer.
And from Fensoms point of view he'll field much better offers from other clubs now than in 12 months time if he's been regularly missing out on the top grade team like he has over the past month or so

I feel like fenno would take a pay cut to stay and is definitely the kind of bloke to play a reduced role if required. He may be chasing max dollars and minutes but that doesnt sound like shaun fensom to me. I think he'd be more inclined to chase a premiership with us than personal glory. But maybe that's just me
